You have some excellent classic titles that you have released in the past on DVD, but the releases are poor video to DVD transfers. You should remaster them from the original film prints and release them again or work with a company like Vinegar Syndrome to release them.
Metro from what I've seen has made some great stuff over it's years. It was a good reflection of what porn was about during it's time. My only advice would be to be aware that porn is different now and not to hold on to any outdated perceptions. I'm sure fans here will more than happy to give suggestions but keep in mind the fans here are fairly narrow what they like and want to see. You'll have to find your niche. For me personally it all starts with the women and not the sex act. If you get the right talent and don't put too many restrictions on them and let them do what they like be it anal, gangbangs, IR, the more tame stuff, or whatever...that would be a good start. Get good people let the talent do their thing and the audience will find you. Oh yeah, and keep it diverse.
I liked some of the James Avalon and Kris Kramski features from the '90s. I would not be interested unless "some new project" had feature elements---tb
I'm a huge James Avalon fan as well I wish I had a DVD of Shrink Wrapped that movie made me absolutely fall in love with Alexa Rae. I loved Nothing To Hide so much I sat through a triple feature at theater in Washington DC and watched it twice, in 1982 it was the first porn film I ever purchased and I payed over a $100.00 for it, I remember cutting out an ad in Hustler Magazine and mailing it in, this was back in 1982. I remember before a feature would start previews would be shown and right before the movie began it would say Metro Makes Great Movies. I'd love to see that again !!!!
Thanks Flash! We're actually in the process of digitizing all of our legacy content and looking for opportunities to get them out to the public again. There are warehouses full of betamax tapes, DVCam tapes, etc. and we're digitizing at a rate of about 25 movies per week. With all this content, I'm thinking a Netflix-style site be best, but would that be something real enthusiasts might use? I've never heard of Vinegar Syndrome, will look into it. All good points Draxxx. We're still working with established performers and have started to shoot in 4K to meet the latest technological demands. We're also packaging our lines better for online viewers, starting with DeviantHardcore.com and GirlGrind.com. We've got another site on the way that I look forward to sharing with this forum soon. You mentioned diversity towards the end, were you referring to niches, performers, shooting styles, or something else? Thanks again for your input!
We're trying to locate all of those originals. In office we have 2005+ and everything else is shrink-wrapped in palettes that we're slowly breaking into :( The new stuff we're shooting is a women cheating theme, I should hopefully have a trailer cut by the end of this week!

Nothing particularly special, just basic niche stuff like perhaps a MILF series, big boob series, younger girls series, perhaps an IR series, girl/girl, etc....Once you do those types of porn you'll end up with a diverse group of performers. The shooting style should be somewhat similar and that will be your brand. I tend to think a quick scenario to set the action up would be a good idea instead of the type of scenes where there's a girl by herself posing/teasing until a guy just appears out of nowhere to have sex with her. The set-ups don't have to be complicated or even clever, just something to give the players a reason for the sex. Quality over quantity. Treat the women and talent well. That type of stuff.
