This is particularly annoying when copying and pasting a link to a specific page (say a thread on ADT). The 'international dvd trading' page for example: https://forum.adultdvdtalk.com/forum/forum.dlt/forum_id=14/cat_id=2/214.htm Yahoo search is still finding these pages. Whats changed with google? | sir wankalot Member UK 904 Posts 5/03 | If given a link i always used google. If i use the full url in my browser address bar, will it always find the exact page (assuming no server problems)? Is the typical rule to use a browser for an exact page and use a search engine for a more general search? |

| Dong Member 136 Posts 8/06 | And the reason, Cumwhipper, why I myself (and, I suspect, others) don't like to have to use the address window is because whatever you type or paste in there remains in the address window drop-down menu, and you can't delete *specific* addresses from it while keeping others. I have some frequently-visited addresses in that menu that I want to remain at the top, and if I've got all these jpg addresses knocking my preferred addresses lower and lower, it's just a big hassle. Also, another reason is, on the occasions when someone else (family member, non-porn-loving friend, etc.) asks to use my computer, I always have to send them away for a minute while I go into the browser options and erase all of those addresses - which also erases my preferred ones, which means I have to re-enter all my preferred ones when said family member/friend is finished with the 'puter. Hassle! Which is a long way of saying I too wish Google would go back to hotlinking the unfound search result. - Dong |
