Click to expand Many parents cannot afford braces for their kids (dental coverage for braces usually sucks), so those kids get the braces when they grow up and have jobs, money, dental insurance, etc. Even my dentist said he wore braces in his 30's. I don't have the association that braces = underage. I'm no psycho-sex-analyst, but it could be something as simple as the "jewelry/adornment" aspect that is the appeal. [Link]
