Has anyone here used the Wedge/Ramp combo during sex before? Is it worth it or can you accomplish the same thing just stacking various sized pillows around? Looks like a novelty but wondered if it was really useful for sustained sexual activity.

i use the wedge. it is not just like stacking a bunch of pillows either. with pillows you have to re-adjust every 30 seconds or minute which is a huge pain & wood killer. i recommend the wedge to anyone.

Thanks for the quick reply....the website says the material makes the various components "stick" together rather than worrying about them falling apart.
So I guess the only question is do I really want the plain-jane one (cheaper) or go for the "black label" series that has attachment points for cuffs for a little light bondage? Oh who am I kidding....the bondage one is for us LOL.
Thanks!

We bought the Wedge/Ramp Combo and absolutely love it. In fact we ordered the Esse today as well. The fabric is spectacular and while the fabric doesn't shift too much it's not like velcro so we do end up having to adjust when things get really worked up. It's worth the money and is the best "adult" purchase I have ever made (wow I sound like a fan boy). We bought the extra-wide wedge/ramp for extra stability but that turned out to be unnecessary and a little unwieldy so we are getting the regular sized Esse. I'm eying the Equus as well once our "bedroom budget" is refilled.
Enjoy!

Wow, glowing review there!
I'm really surprised I just now discovered this. Our master bedroom had (originally) a large sitting room attached to it (we are on ground level, all other bedrooms in second story). Once our first was born, I walled that room off and put a solid door on it and that's our "playroom/dungeon" now. We've added some specialty furniture to it over the years but I built most of it myself and just added accessories from Extreme Restraints and others as available. But my wife's health no longer permits extensive use of the room/equipment in there and I was looking for something "light" that could still be used in the bedroom. I bought the under-the-mattress restraint system and a few other things, but that's when I ran across the Liberator line. I had NO idea these existed and they seemed like a perfect solution.
I just went all out....I can store these in the playroom and pull them out when we want to use them. Just ordered (all in Black Label series):
Wedge/Ramp combo
Esse
Buckaroo (yeeee-haw!)
Should all get here next week! I'm SOOOOO excited to get them, wife just looked at the websites with me and was all "Wow....WOW! HOLY SHIT WOW!!!!!"
How'd I miss this company for so long?!?!?!?!
****EDIT****
OMG!!! I just found the source of my own avatar!!!! I've used this avatar for some time as it's a sign of the fetish I share with my wife, but didn't know it was a real product. I just yanked the image from a BDSM forum we vist regularly. I gotta add this to my order....KARMA RULEZ!!!! :)

Here's my old review of the wedge/ramp (which is or was on the liberator website, and in which I wrote about the bondage-y feel long before Liberator developed their bondage series).
I prefer the ramp. It's not the first thing I'd grab if my house was burning down, but I'd buy it again, and it's my best sex toy purchase ever. Not like a stack of pillows at all. Great gear.

You know, I always hesitate to post this, because I'm afraid that somebody will try this and 'break something'. But my favorite thing is standing doggie with the ramp at the edge of the bed. Normally, in standing doggie, it would be too risky to... well, you guess, use your own judgment, and don't say that I told you to do it.

the wedge/ramp is awesome. you can hit spots so much harder than without it. plus you can pop the pussy - meaning sticking your dick inside right to her bone & then with a mild shift of force popping it right inside her hole. luxury at its finest!

Not sure "popping the pussy" sounds all that appetizing, but I am certainly looking forward to having some fun exploring the possibilities these things offer. My wife's stamina isn't what it used to be given all her medical treatments and this seemed like a very good way to give her some extra comfort for the things she wants to do but can't.
Thanks again for the positive feedback everyone.

Very cool reaction!
Full report in a few weeks? I'm sure you don't want to get into the medical issues here but hopefully everything is okay. I've seen these before but never gave it a thought to go for these versus pillows, etc. I'll show my wife the website sometime.

She's on her second round of cancer treatments. We are into some heavy kink and marathon sex normally, but she really can't handle it anymore. However, we've both decided to NOT let cancer infect our enjoyment of life as a couple....we really don't know how long we will BE a couple given the prognosis. So sex has taken on an entirely new dimension now as she wants to do/try everything, living our sex life to the fullest, while she can. If she beats this, nothing but win for having fun and sex really has kept her spirits up. So at any rate...these look IDEAL for giving her the ability to stay in the saddle without having to burn so much stamina on acrobatics.
And I will keep you posted. The stuff arrives on Wed if UPS tracking is any indication.

My husband and I are not as trim as we once were, and we ordered the extra-wide ramp/wedge combo 3 years ago. Unless you are morbidly obese, you don't need that. We find the extra width to be a hinderance in some cases. We ended up literally sawing off 8 inches of the foam and ordering new, standard size covers.
We don't use the ramp very often, but we find the wedge indespensible. What it does is give both partners so much stability that you don't have to expend any of your energy on holding a position. You can relax completely and perform better. We keep our wedge on our bed 24/7. 90% of the time I use it as a comfy back rest when watching TV or reading in bed, and on nights when my feet hurt from standing in front of a cash register for 8 hours, I prop my feet up on it.
Last I looked, Liberator was offering a wedge/scoop combo. I wish that the scoop had been offered back when I made my first purchase. We sell them in my shop, and they look like they're great.

LubeNLuv, I just now read the entire thread, and I'm impressed with how you and your wife are handling her illness. It warms my heart. Best wishes to you both.
Oh, and please let us know about the Esse and Buckaroo.

Pagoda, thanks for sharing your experiences as well as the kind words of encouragement. This has been THE defining moment of our marriage....nothing else has mattered in retrospect. I have enormous pride in how my wife has handled this situation and I can tell you very emphatically that cancer may torment her body, but it will NOT grow outside of her body to infect our family and our relationship. Regardless, thanks for the support....I know too many couples in similar situations that give up on sex when, in fact, at this point in her life sex is the single biggest "escape" my wife can get and it offers us a chance to bond closer as a couple when we need it the most.
Regarding the Scoop: I looked hard at that one but I couldn't really discern whether the shape would complement our size differences. I'm almost a foot taller than my wife and was worried about using it on the bed and getting the right height. But agreed...interesting concept.

OK, shipments all have arrived. First response: HOLY CRAP THATS A BIG BOX (Esse and Buckaroo)
Since it's summertime, my kids are off school and when the boxes were delivered they were all nosy wanting to know what was in them. Thankfully, Liberator ships everything in non-descript brown boxes. So other than the size of the boxes, nothing to give away whats inside.
So one by one I hauled them upstairs to the playroom to unbox them. While we didn't get a chance to use all three, we did fool around on all three for a bit to try them out for size and positions.
Buckaroo:
This isn't quite as large as it may appear in the pictures on Liberator's website, but it's still big. As it's a black label, there are several D-rings and straps on it for affixing any number of straps/cuffs. Lot's of possibilities for this furniture. My one concern is that it's only about 2ft tall....the male models in the pictures made it look to me like it was about 3ft tall, I should have checked the website better for actual sizing (dimensions are clearly printed there, I just overlooked them). So with my wife straddling it (it's 20" across), I can pull her hips down to the end of the cushion and have ready access to both vaginal and anal...but I have to stoop a bit. Lying over her back is fine as I can kiss/nibble a bit, but it's not that comfortable...I'm just too damn tall. I may look into buying the "Stage" product to get some more height out of this. But we did go "all the way" with me seated on the top, legs to one side (not straddling it) and her seated on my lap cowgirl. By adjusting the side straps she could slide her feet into the straps and used them as stirrups, allowing her to quite literally push outwards with both legs and climb up and down my cock, holding onto my shoulders for support. This is something we couldn't do on just the bed as she just couldn't get enough leverage normally....the straps make it very easy for her to do this. And oh my god....it tightens her up like no other position ever has. Since I was also hands-free (she did all the work in this position, again something she can't do for long normally since her stamina has been decreased), I could touch her, play with her clit, run my hands up and down her sides and back...just enjoy her riding me. It was VERY different than straight cowgirl, especially once she got "up in the saddle" by flexing her legs all the way against the stirrups and then gyrating her hips as she settled back down the length of me. The climax came when she would stretch outwards, literally balanced on my cock, and grind her g-spot against my glans....I lost it when she did. Incredible position, the Buckaroo paid for itself right there. You can see the models in this position on the website if you want a visual...we tried it because we saw that pic. Lots of possibilities with this piece of furniture but beware: it's big!
Esse and Wedge/Ramp will have to wait for the weekend...I'm off for a day or two. But we did fool around on the Esse for oral foreplay before moving to the Buckaroo for the main entree. The Esse is actually much longer than the Buckaroo, but at the highest end about the same height. It's art-deco looking enough that we may even be able to leave it out of the playroom, but the straps on the Black Label model may give it away. We'll see....more on the other two when I have the time.
Great stuff!

Damn, now I might have to think about getting more stuff.
Anybody who hasn't tried Liberator, the photos don't convey at all how different things can feel with this kind of well-designed support. You probably will never hear anybody say that they are anything other than great and worth the money.

^^^ No clue what you mean....must be dense.
We tried out the Esse this weekend. A-freakin-mazing. I've mentioned already that I'm almost a foot taller than my wife and as a result some positions are just plain awkward. 69, for example. We enjoy a little mutual oral now and then but it's not been a regular thing as the only way to make it work is with me lying down and propped up with a bunch of pillows behind my back. That lets her back into me so I can reach her and she me. Not the most comfortable of positions. But with the Esse....perfect. She had a solid platform to rest her legs past my shoulders and I could reach all of her and she me....could even deep throat me like this she was so close to my cock. We tried several different positions, many of which are really the same as you can accomplish with the ramp/wedge combo, but it was nice to have the ability to plant my feet on the floor and give me the added thrust energy from same while engaging in these positions. Doggy, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl...the latter was VERY comfortable and I get to play with her ass with both hands using Esse. In fact, the single biggest feature I'm enjoying from all of these devices is that I can have BOTH hands free, as can she, and still do some very acrobatic positions. In the past, I'd need to hold/support her or myself and she likewise, but with the Liberators, I can let my hands run all over her body. With the Esse, in reverse cowgirl, I could finger her ass and clit simultaneously while thrusting up into her. NEVER been able to do that before.
Needless to say, these things are amazing.....as others have posted, easily the best "sex toys" we've ever purchased.
Wedge/Ramp tonight....we've played with it some already but tonight will be solely devoted to using same.

We put our new Esse through the paces this weekend as well. What an anniversary let me tell you! We did some acrobatic things that I really can't describe very well, and even just simple "cowgirl" was amazing. My wife is rarely multi-orgasmic (one orgasm usually and sometimes two). When we finally collapsed sweaty and exhausted all she could say was "Fuck Me" over and over. She counted 4 orgasms which is a new record for us.
On a side note it is a lot shorter than we pictured it. I don't think that detracts from its functionality, but we had planned to keep it out in the open as a modern chair (since the rest of our furniture is fairly modern-looking) and I really don't think we can do that with it being so short. I guess my next decision is going to be "Do I really care if my In-Laws know we have sex furniture?"

^^^^ Totally agree! It's really amazing some of the positions you can accomplish with these things. "Off the bed" doggy/mish used to be about the best we could accomplish since my wife's treatments started. But now the whole kama-sutra is wide open to us once again! She called me from the road a little bit ago telling me she's wet thinking about a new position she wants to try. Best money I've ever spent!

DarkAngel, do you have a video game console? Park the Esse in front of that, and tell everybody it's your gaming chair. Hell, use it for that anyway. Nothing says it can't be multi-functional.

I have a question, if anyone knows. Which would you recommend, the Esse or the Equus? Also, how bad is the microfiber to keep clean? I see on their site that the Equus comes in the "wet", but the Esse only comes in microfiber.

We have the Esse and you can do far more positions on that thing than the Equus. We also have the Buckaroo which is basically a taller version of the Equus. The Equus is just a platform, but I will say that it will look more at home at the foot of the bed....it's just a rectangular piece of their high-density foam.
As for keeping things clean, everything we bought was "black label" so the Microfiber covers show our leftovers pretty easily. But we've washed them more than a few times already and I've been impressed with a) how easily they clean and b) how durable they are. In some cases all we've had to do is run a damp sponge/washcloth over the spot and we are good for another round. But in cases where we've been at it for awhile, well....thank god they are washable.
On a downside, they don't react well to oils. Not sure many things do for that matter, but stick with water-based massage oils and the like if you plan on mixing some slipperiness with your sex. Either that or go for the 'wet' coverings.

Thanks for the info! It's good to know the covers hold up well with washing & that they are durable. We weren't thinking of doing much with oils, and I don't think the Black Label Esse has a wet cover, but I think that is the one we are going to try. My biggest concern was having to wash it a lot. The Esse looks like it will be pretty fun.

It's always nice, and a little surprising, to see a thread about Liberator's bedroom adventure gear. Especially one that has a decent amount of feedback. I state that because Liberator's gear is expensive and they have no competitors, so you can't shop around the way you would for a sofa. No one else sells what they sell, or anything comparative. And yes, I'm aware of a version of the Esse that's made out of wood. The wood version is around a thousand bucks. Some of the bordellos in Las Vegas have them, I believe. And then there are some pneumatic pieces of sex furniture that are out there. I recently exchanged emails with someone regarding Liberator's gear:
Hi Ron,

Now that you've had the Esse for awhile, what are your thoughts on it?

If you could do it over again would you still buy it?

Does it take up much room in your house/apartment?

In your opinion, is the Esse fairly transportable, I mean, could you throw it into an SUV without too much of a problem?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi EatOut,
If i had it to do over, I would skip The Stage and just buy the Esse, best deal going. Yes it will fit in the back of a truck. Portable and you can use it in the living room and nobody would know what it is for. Women are mostly pretty interested in it if they are really into sex. If they are the average woman, they think you are a bit crazy.

We have the ramp/wedge combo and highly recommend it. Well worth the money and a lot of fun. It even comes with a carrying case so you can take it on trips. We've taken it into some hotels and used it on vacation as well!

I'm wondering how you're using your ramp
>do you use it on your bed?
>do you use it on the floor?
>do you use it anywhere else in your residence say like in the kitchen or in the bathroom?
>do you use it with or without the Stage?

I totally like the idea of the Black Label series. The BL model allows you to tie your lovers hands to the D-rings. That's great. But...I'm not sold on them because they, the D-rings, seem problematic.
I figure a cuffed lover might yank the D-rings right off the Esse while in the heat of action or experiencing an INTENSE orgasm.
I assume the D-rings are attached to fabric, and not something solid like steel or wood.
To me, the D-rings seem unstable for long term use. I hate the idea of tearing the fabric when the D-rings are sheared off. If you tear the D-rings off the cover you'll have to shell out $130 for a new cover.
I'd like to buy a Black Label Esse, but I'm reluctant due to the potential problems that might arise. Am I wrong about any of this?

To all you Esse users out there, I have a question about how stable it is, or isn't. The question about stability applies to only one situation, that where the weight of both lovers is centered at the high end of the Esse.
I'm wondering if the short end of the Esse tilts up, 'pops a wheelie', OR IN ANY WAY BECOMES UNSTABLE when two lovers are engaged in any of the positons shown in the links below. (Please copy and paste any one of the links into your web browser.)
