I use a networking PC on Windows XP/IE7: to solve this problem I first reset the amount of days my PC remembers the visited websites (links) from 3 to 1 day, and gave a reboot. As this didn't help, I did a System-Restore to yesterday evening. Of no help either ... Settings: Temporary Internet Files on 'automatic' for 'looking for newer versions stored pages', a one day memory period for visited websites, and usable total disc space to do so 1024 Mb. As I live in three countries, travel internationally, have my network-server and workstations in different countries, my IT-'consultant' in yet another, I can use some software that is recognisable by most computer-users (that's why I always use the English versions) when I'm stuck and my 1st-line of aid isn't available. And although I'm not a very educated PC-user myself, by working with very common software I'm often-times able to assist new-born computer-users (as I mainly work in countries with recent developing economic systems, my customers are often 'new-born computer-users'), making my stay as 'guest' in their country more easy-going (...). I suggest trying firefox out and keeping ie on your system if you want to go back to it. What RandomPrecision said. [Link] |

The layout is a bit different and it might take you a while to figure out where everything is but I'm pretty stupid when it comes to computers and I figured it out in a couple of days. [Link] |
