Hey boys and girls -

Does anybody know if *all* Magma films are still overdubbed? I'm not much of a fan of overdubbing and not sure why they do it, since they are overdubbing with the same language (not that there's much dialog involved anyhow ;-) )

They aren't all dubbed.

I don't know how many might still be, but after ignoring Euro porn for years because of the dubbing, I noticed Ein Sommertagstraum and Hotel Fickmichgut from Magma were labeled "Deutschen Original-Ton!" .
Lo and behear, they were indeed with original (German) sound.

At least 50% of all Magma titles released every month are licenced movies. This means the movie has originally already been released by someone else but Magma buys the rights to release it on their on label mainly for the german speaking market.

Magma normally puts a voice-over on these kind of titles, in the earlier days they have fully dubbed them. Magmas own productions have direct sound (german).

So that means if you buy a movie that Magma licenced from Redlight for example, people don't hear me moan, it's all dubbed?

Not necessarily, Katja. Sometimes they just add a voiceover who narrates the dialogue parts and they leave the sex scenes alone, some have a separate soundtrack with the original sound, sometimes they dub them completely, but I think they stopped doing that (voiceover is way cheaper!).
Maybe you can offer them to dub your scenes in German yourself, Katja. For a nice extra payment of course
That way we can choose to hear you moan in English or in German!

I don't think so either, but you could always try. Allthough I have the idea that there is only one company in Germany, with only 5 people doing the voices, that does all the dubbing, whether TV, regular movies or porn. Either that or they all went to the same voice actors school, they sound all the same!
