ehh 1 of the 2 people you named is brazilian ... i should of been more specific i was referring to mostly american girls which are the ones i tend to watch. yeah kristina rose is pretty cool. but i dunno aside from evil angel ..most studios have pretty lackluster vanilla girls in there scenes. i complained a few months ago about i think mike john having the same like dozen or so girls in all his films and rotating them , but i can kind of see why he sticks to a lot of the same ones because they are the few ones who are consistent and put forth a decent effort. name a few more because i am curious though ..because i can think of countless girls who just kind of lay there and dont offer much of anything original or exciting to the scenes they are in. also though i dont like freakish over the top fake enthusiasm like tory lane or sasha grey does in there performances.
Agree that Amy Brooke is one of the exceptions, but gotta agree that a lot of the newbies are chosen for their cuteness/hotness/freshness/18-ness and not for their fucking abilities. I like how some folks here think that throwing out 1 or 2 names is gonna debunk the OP's point. Silly rabbits. Of course the percentage of quality performers is lower these days. You'd think though under basic principles of economics that with greater competition the talent would be pushed to the top as the only sustainable product (performer in this case), unless of course the competition is leading to either performers offering to work for less or production companies constantly cycling through new 18-ers since they don't have to give them a better paycheck like more established starlets. The latter is what I suspect to be the case and what is most likely to be occuring - and we do see it occur with a lot of websites/DVD series that focus on these groups where one shoots only once - MAYBE twice - FuckedHard18, Fresh Outta High School, Facial Fest, etc. New girls usually shoot for these sort of lines very early in their career and they just cycle through the newbies. It not neccesarily entirely for the sake of keeping costs down, because the 18 y/o look is very desired by a good bit of porn fans, but it is certainly a latent bonus. There are a lot of girls though, I will agree, in the industry who are absolutely abysmal and get a sexy set-up, storyline, and/or outfit wasted on them for a scene that ends up being very sub-par due to various reasons. The flipside though is the proliferation of porn through the internet era and the expansion of the female talent pool, with its consequential inclusion of many more passion-lacking, narrow-minded girls will still increase the total number of worth-viewing girls because 10% of 1000 is still better than 30%of 200. Additionally, it will also benefit viewers because seeing so many girls in the market, as well as seeing that its okay for a girl to not want to do Gauge/Aurora Snow style IR-included gangbangs with massive swallowing endings, will entice a much greater number of young ladies in the future to consider porn as a legitimate employment oppurtunity for fun/sexual exploration/college funding/etc.
I guess you just have to find the girls and studios you like, and then just follow their stuff. There is just too much porn out there nowadays. 20 years ago you could randomly pick 100 scenes, and a good amount of them would probably be great. Nowadays you could randomly pick 1000 scenes, and they all might suck. There's still way more amazing stars today, but there's also an infinite amount of girls who should've never entered the industry.
