Next time I'm at my local store I'll ask who distributes them here in Canada and if they have a web site, it might help in finding out who in the states sells them if anybody.

As any fan of the Dorcel DVDs knows, they are distributed here in the US by Wicked. I stumbled upon the French home page of Marc Dorcel today (www.dorcel.com) and found listings for MANY DVDs not offered here in the States. The blurb at the bottom of the descriptions states that the discs are playable in all-zones and is compatible with NTSC. Does anyone have any experience with these euro-version Dorcel DVDs? Are they truly compatible? Are the movies different? Is ordering from France reliable? Are there any other euro-distributors that you have dealt with? Any info is appreciated! [Link] |

Mind you, sometimes it takes a long time for stuff to come in stock so you may have to wait quite a while. If the owner of my local store is there next time I'll ask him about where he gets them. I think you'd save a ton on shipping if you ordered from Canada instead of France. Good luck on your quest. [Link] |

The first two are french sites in french, the third belgian and in english. Prices are in euros, about par with the dollar right now, and include tax (TVA) 19.6 per cent in France, which they shouldn't charge non-EU residents. [Link] |
