Every style is unique and has a number of faith adult viewers who follow it. For instance EroticaX and HardX lines have different characteristics. Some viewers exclusively prefer the first one some others the second. Of course we can express our preferences but I do not think it is wise to condemn one because we prefer the other. Now apart from the viewers preferences we have to consider the performers preferences as well. Ok porn is a part of the show business but that does not mean the performers always agree to do everything for money. They put their own red lines and make decisions about what kind of porn they like to shoot or feel more comfortable with. So, we might want for example to see Stoya doing anal or DP scene for a gonzo line but this might not be easy. From what I understood Stoya is not very much in fond of gonzo style filming. She likes more that alternative Dark style films who have kinky elements and elementary plot. Something to stimulate her senses and brain. IMHO This is what Mason needs to do. Conquer her mind. She should leave a little bit the narrow gonzo box and try something more challenging, encapsulating the hard action within. She has done it before and I think she can do it again. It will still be hard Gonzo but it will be encapsulated in a stylish, kinky atmosphere. Something similar with some of Mason previous showcases. Only it will be adjusted to her own unique sexual personality. Stoya wants to feel that she is more than a performer... that she is an artist. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a fine director. His style just doesn't mesh with the HardX brand though. He makes more extreme material with a focus on degradation with a very unpolished shooting and editing style. Basically, classic hardcore gonzo. Obviously Mason's material is very rough and nasty, but it's more elevated. And while degradation is definitely a theme running through Mason's work, it doesn't express itself in the same way as in Brandon's work. His take on degradation is, frankly, not as woman-friendly as Mason's. I just don't think he's a good fit for HardX. William H. and Mick Blue I thought were two directors with the right mentality for HardX, but now they've moved on to different companies. I could see Chris Streams working at HardX, but he seems pretty happy at JJV. I'm coming up blank on other directors who fit the HardX mold, both in terms of sensibility and technical skill. Anyone I'm missing? [Link]

His masterful photography and filmstyle skills of making girls look like stunningly beautiful supermodels is very similar in approach to how Mason likes to shoot the girls and, like Mason, Jonni is a master of showing the transition from pixel perfect, unblemished beauty to a sloppy, sweat soaked, sexually ravenous animal. Although the themes to some of his scenes are not the direction Hard X goes in, his abilities to capture ultra graphic, captivating, and intimate hardcore are the same as Mason's. [Link]
