The blog seems to be updated according to your whims, rather than the fans. This isn't very satisfying fan service. I see a bombardment of assorted blog posts on the 28th of May, then a few others scattered throughout that month arbitrarily. Why not release info and teases according to a more rigorous schedule? Look at your "Coming Soon" section. One post relating to the DVD release of "Hot Oil Massage" back in November? I'm sorry but that just seems like a joke to me. This is not how you should be running a porn website. Clicking on "Interviews" leads to a blog archive which lists... nothing. So basically a dead link. Same thing as the "Archives" link itself, in fact. The last GIF image was posted four months ago. And finally, what about the "Trailers" section, probably the single most important aspect of any porn website? The last two trailers were in April. And March only brought one new trailer. How can you not release any new trailer in May? That would have been a singularly great opportunity for you to debut the Allie Haze anal movie via trailer, but you missed it. I have to say I'm quite disappointed. One of several factors which led to disillusionment with your prior company Elegant Angel, Mason, was a very similar problem. Both before and after you left. No blog updates for WEEKS on end, rare trailers, and just basically a bad business model. This issue has quite a straightforward fix. Look at EvilAngelVideo.com for what I'm talking about. If you're not aware of it, I'll summarise. Movie titles get released to the "Coming Soon" section at a set date each month to build fan anticipation. Then trailers are launched at another SET date each month to properly whet fan's appetites for some damn hot porn. Blog updates should be done in tandem with this approach. Also directors and performers are free to hype the product elsewhere e.g. Twitter/ADT on their own terms, which gives you additional publicity. Yes there are many more directors (and thus more product) at Evil than just yourself at Hard X, but the principle can still be applied just as easily if you have competent web administrators and the will for change. This would apply if you have just three or even fifteen DVDs out per month. That's all you have to change to make your fans happier. Please implement this as soon as possible. Disclaimer: I'm not a registered member of the site, as I buy Hard X and associated studios' stuff via DVDs on a movie-by-movie basis. So I don't know if the subscription service is any better. I think it has to do with the available manpower (and money) one is willing to spend on it, and Evil Angel seems to me to be playing in a totally different league. Basically, the page is an advertisment, so it's probably difficult to measure how much it is worth to invest on it to get a certain return. I guess DVD sales are not that much affected by it, and on subscription sales... well I dunno, but looking on how long it took to have subscription even possible, it seems to me that still things are being worked on in a rather improvised manner just now. I love the element of surprise that comes with each new post on the blog and I like eagerly anticipating the revealing of any new info, images, etc. for upcoming movies. (I was literally checking the blog everyday last month waiting to find out who the second girl in Gangbang Me was going to be.) If you ask me, I think that if HardX allowed performers to post images and info for scenes that they just shot on Twitter, ADT, etc., that it would kill some of the excitement that comes with being a fan of HardX and Mason who follows the blog. Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather first find out about a scene/movie from the blog, where each scene reveal is accompanied by several stunning high resolution images, rather than finding out about it from a random tweet, with one low quality cell phone image, from a pornstar. Plus, there's the obvious reason why HardX would prefer doing it the way that they've been doing it: there's more traffic to the blog page when all the fans know that it is the only place to find out first about all of HardX's upcoming projects. Your blog posts are fine, but on your "Coming Soon" section you should implement individual pages for say the 3 movies coming for August. Do this in the first week of July. These pages list the cast, release date and the director (if you hire any others in future). Then say on the second week of July, you drop all three trailers simultaneously. Trust me, this method used at Evil Angel maximizes fan satisfaction. b)Move as far away from the questionable practices of the Elegant Angel site (especially it's blog) as possible, because they represent bad memories for fans of your work (and for fans of the other oldschool Elegant directors for that matter).
