If I am worked up and passing my our local adult bookstore I sometimes stop by and go into one of the booths and jack off a load while watching a video. The first time I went there I thought I would never do that in there because each booth has a small gloryhole on each side where whoever is in the next booth can watch you. Well I got up the courage to drop my drawers and jack off knowing there were two gay guys watching my every move. It actually turned me on knowing I was being watched. My question to you guys is if it is unusual that a straight guy would jack off in an adult bookstore knowing gay guys are watching him? I am alone in liking to show off in this manner?

Whether you're alone? Who knows! But as to your question about whether getting off like that is unusual, my guess would be "yes, most probably".

I guarantee you that there are hundreds (maybe thousands) of thousands of straight (or nearly so) guys who more or less share the same fetish. Those "glory holes" are there for a reason: Many straight guys just like to be watched and many, many more enjoy an anonymous blowjob, putting that glory hole - thus its name - to more than visual use.

I think the key words here are "or nearly so", GaySatyr. Don't get me wrong - if anyone gets off on doing this then fine, that's their business. But as a straight guy myself, the very idea of sticking my dick through a hole in a partition and being sucked off by some anonymous gay bloke on the other side isn't exactly one that lights my fire. But then maybe I'm just being old-fashioned!!!

I'm with you there! I once saw a movie in which there was a knife waiting on the other side of that hole instead of a warm and moist mouth! OUCH!

Seriously, not my cup of tea, either; however, having been in more than my share of dirty book stores which included such arcades, I know what goes on. I simply choose not to participate.

Redone,

What you describe is not an unusual response at all. Granted, it may not be the reaction of the majority of males who self-identify as straight, but is well within then realm of what is a normal sexual response.

Think about watching porn, which is a voyeuristic activity. Some guys are extremely object oriented and only respond visually to what the woman is doing. Other men also respond empathetically and like to see the guy having a good time and showing some expression. The difference has nothing to do with being straight or "almost" straight. Apply the same principle to a gay guy watching straight porn and enjoying it. Does this mean he's "less" gay? The distinction quickly becomes absurd.

Performing in porn, on stage or privately in a viewing booth is an exhibitionist activity. Many people like to display their sexuality and enjoy others watching. The gender and orientation of the people watching have nothing to do with enjoying being watched. Again, it's an empathetic response - You (or I) like it that they like it. Most straight guys would rather have women watching (if they enjoy having anyone watch at all), but having a cheering squad of guys shouldn't be seen as unusual. I'm sure there are plenty of straight guys doing porn that get off on the exhibitionist aspect.

Obviously social stereotypes of acceptable behavior effect our perception of this. The fact that women are naturally more empathetic and touchy feely than men, and men are more visual and object oriented shapes our cultural definitions of normal sexual response and behavior. Two woman dirty dancing at a club is seen as just having fun, and doesn't cause people to question their sexual orientation. A straight guy enjoying his ass being stimulated or other guys watching can cause some straight guys to question and feel insecure about their own heterosexuality. Not all social conditioning is good.
