I kept looking at a couple of scenes and kept saying "surely not" but I did notice a tattoo that confirmed my fear and followed up with a search that led to this topic. Three things threw me, one she has put on a little weight - let me stress she's not overweight by any stretch, she just had such a tight slender figure before that it has an impact. Second, apparently she's been in the US long enough that she's started to lose a good bit of her accent, at least in the newer scenes I watched, which is a shame, it was part of her appeal. Finally, but most dramatically, the nose job, and whatever else she may have done. I really could not confirm it was her from the face and it is so disappointing. She was so attractive and unique before. I think the thing that makes a breakout porn star, as she was, is a combination of a unique recognizable beauty and a fantastic sexual attitude/performance. She had both which is clearly what made her so popular. Now, although she is definitely still attractive, she doesn't have that uniqueness in her appearance that really caught the attention above the rest of the pack. I know, I know, it's her happiness that matters, and if it makes her feel good, and she really doesn't care what I think, etc, etc. That's all true but I will say that someone as naturally attractive as she was doesn't change her appearance so dramatically permanently unless she had ongoing self image issues that probably came from caring what other people thought at a more impressionable point in her life. And being that she is an entertainer in an industry based in large part on looks, should care that fans obviously responded very favorably to her natural appearance and not tried to fix what wasn't broken. Is she an attractive woman now, yes. Does she look more like a run of the mill porn mannequin (probably too harsh a word, but it's what comes to mind), yes. Before, she had the kind of facial appearance that could make someone a standout fashion model, now she has the look to be a generic contract girl. I much prefer the former. I would, and did at one point, join a website or buy a dvd because she was prominently featured, now, I wouldn't not watch something she was in but it wouldn't drive me to seek it out. I don't say this to be mean, it's purely my opinion, as a fan and consumer. I just hope that the next standout talent that comes on the scene doesn't make the same mistake (in my opinion) based on some misguided sense of self-conciousness when she is exceptionally and uniquely attractive. If she had asked her fans I'm sure she would have gotten so much positive support it would have overwhelmed any negative feelings she may have developed in the past about her appearance. And I would hope that the industry professionals around her would do the same. At least she shot more than enough scenes pre-alteration to satisfy any one performers career, and as a fan I'll never have a shortage of those amazing performances to enjoy. I wish her all the luck in the future. PS the breast job didn't bother me so much, she still looked like herself, although I think she looked great natural to begin with [Link] |
