The agent/agency are the supplier and the producers are the vendors. If you are a vendor than a supplier that sends you a top product on time is amazing and therefore you will keep going to that supplier. If somehow the supplier finds out that one of the product the vendor ordered is a problem than he can quickly contact the vendor and offer him a different product at a special rate. In return a supplier who keeps offering a top product will often be able to get a better price from the vendor because the vendor knows he will get more sales. That's why not all agencies are the same and why some get more jobs for their models than other agents/agencies. [Link] |

The "banned by agent" has happened but it involved women that had signed a contract they shouldn't have (e.g. the infamous up to 5-7 years contracts one problematic agency was using). Melody's much shorter and more standard contract had expired, and she was free to do whatever. The problem isn't related to her previous agent, but more about her being based in a place where next-to-no porn is shot (she has to fly halfway across the country to shoot) and producers mostly getting models from agencies. It's just much easier to do that if you're a producer. There are very few fully self-booking models, especially ones that aren't based near a place porn is shot, that regularly do scenes.
