When she was working, Lisa Ann happily opened up her pussy and ass to be gangbanged by miles of Black cock, swallowing GALLONS of ghetto spooge in the process. She had NO complaints so long as she was getting PAID. Now, however, Lisa Ann, in need of alternative sources of income, is obviously attempting to "rehabilitate" herself in the eyes of her intended new benefactors.

The Industry is what the industry is. Yes, it could and should be better, but at it's heart, it's about taking advantage of women. Reports claim porn is a multi billion dollar business, but I am constantly reading post from top talent saying theu finally paid off a 20 year old used sport car, or they would get their teeth fixed if they had the money and I certainly see women that have been in the industry for a decade, that wear the same pair of shoes in nearly every scene. There is no true financial or health reward for performers.
If you ask me, at a minimum, there should be vouchers issues by the producers to cover testing costs. That would be one way to show that they are invested in the health of talent. It appear for the most part they work with one facility, so truth be told, they could all pay into a system that get's all registered talent tested bi weekly, making all represented talent tested and available.
If I ran a production company, I would take such good care of talent, they would only want to shoot with me from that day forward. The entire industry is mismanaged, that's why powerhouse studios from even the early 2000's are folded up and out of business.

Porn is no different from the broader entertainment industry, where I strongly suspect incidence of alcoholism, drug abuse, overdoses, suicides, murders, etc. are all comparable. Work environments characterized by fast, easy money, long periods of idleness, fickle demand, and employees with few alternative prospects are naturally conducive to the development of self-destructive behavior. Pursuing a career in the entertainment industry is generally a BAD idea, but there's nothing that can realistically be done short of outlawing it, which I do not recommend.

Sure. For example, Robert Blake killed his wife. OJ killed HIS wife. Phil Hartman's wife killed HIM. The Manson family murdered Sharon Tate. There was the NFL player who murders his pregnant girlfriend. There were also instances of obsessed fans murdering TV and recording artists. It's not all that uncommon, and seems to be much more prevalent than in the population at large.

^ Of the examples you mentioned, I would only classify OJ and Phil Hartman as entertainers, they were more domestic issues (which affect all people), and one was in '98 and the other was in '94.

And Sharon Tate was from a cult and in the '60s.

There are tons more. John Lennon was murdered. So was Tupac, Biggie Smalls, and Selena. Sports is entertainment, so Rae Carruth and Aaron Hernandez qualify, along with Steve McNair and a bunch of other athlete murderers and murder victims. Snoop Dogg was accused of murder. Phil Spectre was convicted, and Don King was TWICE accused of murder. It has been claimed that murder was highly correlated with the porn industry. My point is that murder is highly correlated to the entertainment industry in general, along with many other ills. It goes with the territory and the kinds of people drawn to it.

This is why I'm independent. I would love to find a production company that truly respects talent and treats people really well, but I haven't found it yet.

It doesn't matter whether they're domestic or not , in porn the domestic issues aren't even asked , anyways to stay in the showbusiness should we talk about music?
Murders , suicides, ODs , their enviromnent is even way more fucked up than porn is

A very thoughtful article from Aurora Snow , this puts the human side of the industry in a clearer context .Lauren Phillips was quite honest, would like to hear more from her about this .

I am going to start by saying the passing, suicide, and death is all depressing and sad. However, let's be adults. Sticks and Stones... Now, I get it, words hurt, but if you kill yourself over being called a few names the next day, you had deeper and darker issues. Jews, Blacks, Gays, Women, and countless other races, religions and groups have been persecuted for generations. If this wasn't a porn issue, it would be a completely different tone all together.
People talk about how awkward Keanu Reeves kisses are in movies, what they don't talk about is him being gay. He's never come out and as far as I know, it's never been alleged. That said, I don't recall him ever being linked to a female, other than doing multiple movies with Sandra B, and with all his success, I don't recall any red carpet photos or any publicity of him affectionate with a female. What if that became a trending topic? I know a few people in Hollywood and they talk about how many people are gay and how the industry keeps the secret because that talent is making them all rich. Again, I don't ask for names and they are not offered.
If a Hollywood actress refused to work with a male lead who was gay. I think we would see a similar situation. There would be a ton of hate and all kinds of groups would speak up and out. but if that actress took her life the next day, next week or even next month, it wouldn't play out like the AA situation.
I'll say it again. All talent takes on a huge risk entering this industry and what people overlook is that risk is lively-hood. What the fuck do you do after porn? For the females, maybe you marry someone with money. For the men, unless you can keep working behind the scenes, or own your content, I don't know what you do. Peter North and Tim Byron fucked until their dicks about fell off, and Sean Michael's is literally past retirement age and still showing up on sets trying to blend in with talent a 3rd his age.
You can change your name, your look, your address, but I think porn will always catch up with you. If you are from the 90's and your weren't a huge star, you can probably live a life under the radar, but from the day DVD went into production, I think your image is out there forever. I doubt anyone that enter the biz in the last 15 years will ever be able to avoid being identified. The combination of social media and digital media means someone out there is aware of your career whether they are broadcasting it or not and we have all read stories about people leaving movies on performers parents porches to expose their career.
There are also multiple performers over the years who have had mental breakdowns on set on camera, known to be unstable off camera, etc. I've seen enough interviews with talent to see that some performers appear to have had issues before entering the industry.
Mental Health doesn't care about your beauty, income, age, sexual preference, or intelligence. If you have ever had problems at work, you know how stressful life can get, now imagine being naked and having a portion of the world commentating. I love porn and respect performers for making the choice to be in the industry, but I'm happy when they get out. You can only give so much of yourself before their is nothing left to give.
It's a different industry today, I don't think we'll see another career woman like Nina Hartley. The industry has changed too much and even though she has managed to put out content, she has taken significant breaks over the last 18 years and she also came from a medical background, so I can only assume she was better equipped to deal with health related issues. Content like Max Hardcore & Extreme Associates others that were once considered too extreme are completely common place today. We all come from different backgrounds, but image, bucktooth Becky from Iowa, she wants to come to L.A. for the sunshine, or the glamour and next thing you know, her asshole is inside out and someone pissing on her face. If you can deal with that at 18, there is something wrong with you.
For me, it's no different that 18-19 years olds that come back from war. The best of them deal with it, but most of them struggle, and that after significant counseling.
The porn industry won't fix or heal itself, because it's not in anyone budget. The same way performers are tested for STD's they should probably be tested to evaluate their mental health.

This is nonsense. Piss and vomit porn (Max's 'specialty') is practically unknown in US porn today. Name one major US producer with such content? Gangbang and BDSM are far less prevalent then there were in the late 90s and early 00s.

PCP is back, I think you are being incredibly short-sighted. Women like Stormy Daniels are making a career in adult movies. Not only does she act in them, she also writes, directs, and produces them.

Sorry Flash, I don't catch your point. I will say, I'm no Stormy expert, so I can't even attempt to debate her merits. I can say, the success of one woman doesn't counterbalance the negative effects we have seen on the female porn population.

Bro, you are coming off as way too aggressive. I wasn't talking about pissing and vomit. I was talking about rough sex, smearing makeup, pulling hair, choking and such. If you want to be completely litteral. Max made the big titted school girl and skinny, underage look popular as well, but I wasn't inferring that in my post either.
If you have questions ask, but don't just jump in with your fists up.

You had said, "It's a different industry today, I don't think we'll see another career woman like Nina Hartley." I was disagreeing with you. I think there are career women now within the industry. Just because you aren't familiar with them doesn't mean they aren't there.

Thanks for clarifying, I didn't know what your reply was in reference to. Ignorance isn't a defense, so I echo your sentiment that not knowing doesn't validate an objection. I obviously know who Stormy is, even pre Trump, just never liked her. I don't however feel it's fair to compare her to Nina. Nina has performed in 4, if not 5 decades. Even though, Nina has a production company and has done instructional videos, that all pales (for me) when it's contrasted with her list of credits and relevance.
Relating it back to mental health. I think Belladonna most likely had the next best chance to compete on Nina's level, but if I recall, she have bouts with mental health issues that ultimately cut her career and legacy short.

Sorry if you take that as too aggro.
But you referred to women being pissed on in your post, now you say you weren't talking about pissing?
And in terms of mental health, lots of musicians, writers, actors and filmmakers struggle with mental issues. Are you concerned about the effect of their livelihood in their mental health?

There is pissing, but I agree, not domestic. Plenty of US talent has shot for Legalporno.com. Personally, I don't care where it's shot, if a performer shoots it, for me the location is irellevant. What happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas and if you go to Europe and get pissed on all anyone remembers is you got pissed on.
As far as musicians, actors and other groups you mentioned. No, I don't care, SAG has the best medical benefits of any unionized group. Second only to politicians. Musicians make multiple of what porn talent makes, they can't afford care than most porn performers can't.
I'm not captain save a hoe, nor will I ever stand on a corner with a banner or flag in support of porn performer rights. All said, I will state my opinion. I'm not a Lisa Ann fan, but I can tell you that she uses her brains just as much as her body, Women like her, Jewel D'Nyle, Belladonna and most Vivid and Wicked women made a lot of cash. That cash get's you care and stability, if you are smart enough to use your resources that way. Many performers have not.

About half a dozen American porn performers have shot for LP. AJ Applegate, Maddy O'Reilly, Proxy Paige, Samantha Rone and Juelz Ventura. Maybe a few others? Doesn't look like loads to me and not all of them did piss scenes did they?

Friend, you are welcome to gauge your own meter. You act like I said it was an epic. It's common place, several performers have done it and in my book, that's all that's necessary to reference. Maybe they should put the Concord back in service, and fill it with the overwhelming demand of porn-stars waiting to be pissed on.
Exactly, I never said that was the case.

We obviously have different definitions of common place. It looks like almost ever female that has gone overseas in the last year does a pissing scene. I don't even like Girl girl, but Megan Rain did a scene with some Euro girl and that two sassy wenches take turns pissing on each other hands. At one point, they take turns standing over each other pissing on each others shoulders.
I guess the best news is neither of us have to sign off on the other opinions in order to believe. It almost seams appropriate to tell you to piss off, but that would just be rude.
Let's see who gets pissed off in 2018!

There is no shift. I was talking about domestic talent doing extreme scenes. Does it matter where it's shot? If I was to use that logic, then acts that you don't like or agree with become acceptable when done outside of your zip-code.
If I said they were shooting golden showers in LA, that wasn't my intent, but i'm pretty sure that isn't what I said. If I did, you wouldn't be the only one here claiming I did.

LOL. Becky comes to LA to be a star and just like most talent, she eventually goes to Europe to shoot. While you are at it, do you want to correct my spelling or grammar? You are bright enough to know I was talking about a porn career. If not, they shoot in Vegas, Canada, Mexico and all over the globe. They do a lot of piss in Asia as well, I hope you forgive me for not pointing that out in my post.
You'll be a whole lot happier if you stop being so critical of what I say.

The industry doesn't even care enough to put in place a good testing regime, when the money spent would benefit them in the long run. Mainstream actors who aren't a part of the guild can't even get it.

PCP-
If you say something that doesn't ring true, someone will probably explain how it doesn't ring true. If you invite someone to point out where you said something then they probably will. That's all I and others have done. Keep your points straight and then if someone highlights a caveat, there is no shame in saying "yeah I guess that's true." You can still have a conversation. People here are generally nice. No need to be so defensive.

My point is the industry does a poor job with testing so why would one expect them to do anything about mental health when many in the mainstream entertainment industry don't even have mental health coverage. Look at the constant string of crises in the industry where male performers who shouldn't have been performing were able to and infected other performers.
Now if you don't agree with my statement you can always provide a counter argument.

Thanks for your comments. I don't have a problem with people not agree or believing my opinion, but there is a polite way to inquire further and very few have selected that route. You and I have talked and you know, when you approach me out of genuine concern, I back up my position and a decent exchange takes place.
I don't agree with everything I read, but when I engage you, it's with respect.
I will add though, with sites like Facial Abuse and Assylum, the Max Hardcore legend is still among us.

It's unfortunate that there isn't much support out there for past and current performers. Sadly I don't see this changing. A lot of stars are have various issues to worry about - mentally, financially and those with substance abuse problems.
The other day on Tom Byron's Facebook profile, Alexandra Silk posted that PJ Sparxx was homeless, living under an underpass, begging for money.

If Hollywood is a city build on fake relationship, then porn is like every fake smile anywhere. No one is looking out for talent or care. When we have the HIV outbreaks more than a decade ago, people turn-coated so quick, you would think they wanted to pretend they never worked with the infected parties.
I'd like to hear how PJ goes from being a box-cover girl, to retiring to living under a bridge I find it hard to believe, but industry or not, anything is possible.
This thread is titled Mental Health, but there should be a concern for general health.

I can't imagine Alexandra saying that if it wasn't true. She has a pretty good reputation in the business. Here is where she posted about PJ (in the comments to Tom Byron's post about PJ). I don't know what circumstances led to PJ's situation, but mental illness is common with the homeless. Then again, it could've happened to her for an entirely different reason. She's been out the business for close to 20 years now so who knows could've happened to her from that time to now.

I didn't doubt the situation, I just wanted to know the story behind it. You are also wielding a two edge sword. The homeless may be mental unstable, but mentally unstable people also become homeless.
I was thinking about PJ about a week ago and was honestly wondering if she would consider a comeback. Nikki Sinn came back 10 years ago and PJ was at least 10 years younger.

I hope this is the current topic for posting this .
( I would have preffered topic like " Depressive girls " or " girls that might be depressed " to avoid some stigma )
Some posters have observed that the Instagram of Gina Valentina doesn´t look very good .
It contains messages like :
" Things Like “cant wait for the next life” and “i dont want to be here anymore” “cant more” etc. " ......
One member even said that she might be suicidal .
If you are concerned , please go to her topic where I have posted more info .

I 100% agree they willingly accept whatever sick thing they're asked to do, for ENOUGH money. But if you take a step back and reflect, its still inhumane, especially some of the sick stuff that gets made. One has to keep in mind that whats on video is not the whole scene, the stuff that gets edited is only the good part. Whats cut shows the dark underbelly of the scene, where the 'stars' frequency cry get abused, threatened. Of course not all the studios are like that but a good portion are. Its why I threw in the towel when trying to break into porn, I didn't have the heart for it, especially because as new talent you're always working in 15 man gonzo gangbangs which are hard on the girl.
I really understand Lisa Anns actions and agree with her.
