If you don't believe it, despite me having the video and e-mails, fine with me. Nevertheless, I need to share some stuff regarding Mia. Part 1: Custom video catastrophe A month ago after her twitter Q&A, she sent out a business e-mail address and said she would do custom videos. I contacted her, we agreed to 4 basic things in the video, I paid in full up front and just earlier this week I got the video back. It was a disaster. Now, forget about how long it took for her to make it... over 3 weeks... which she kept me in the loop about and the delay was due to an understandable problem, but here are the 4 things we agreed to: 1) Length of video 9-10 minutes (this is how she bases her pricing)... the video she got back to me was 6.5 minutes 2) Positions in video being cowgirl/reverse cowgirl... she only gave cowgirl, no reverse 3) Camera angle being stationary pointed at her doing the positions, not POV... she got this half right, camera was stationary, but it was set off to the side and not framed well... can't see her face at all, can barely see her breasts and only the side of her body/ass/legs... a really terribly misstep 4) I asked her to say my name once or twice so I knew it was truly a custom video for me. She didn't do this at all. Basically this was a complete and utter failure and despite a few attempts in recent days to nicely address this with her and ask her to re-make the video, she has not answered. Much like her recent twitter silence she seems to only be checking this business e-mail account once a week or so over the last 2-3 weeks. Part 2: Mia isn't mentally ready for porn As we went back-and-forth over a three-plus week stretch regarding the custom video we probably exchanged 35 e-mails or so. Here's some takeaways from these that will give all some better insight to her. 1) She's a very immature 18 or 19 year old girl who just isn't ready for the spotlight she has received. She admitted as much, saying she is shocked by the attention/notoriety that came her way during this 3-scene stretch. While other young woman (really, girls) have been able to deal with the instant "fame" and continue churning out scene after scene, it is evident Mia can't or simply doesn't want to at this point. 2) She got into this for quick money as she continues to pursue a professional career path and gets a college education. She didn't get into this for a full-time job and, simply put, does not have the time to devote to this the way professional women do. While she has said on social media that she wants to shoot with other companies and work with certain people, she isn't ready to abandon her personal life and go fully into porn. She might get to that point down the road, but there's no sense I got that it's going to happen soon. She isn't actively filming anything for companies (whether due to her personal desire or an exclusive contract) and consistently talked about being too busy and not having time to devote to porn. That also includes her porn social media... twitter, instagram (which she doesn't currently have), snapchat, etc. 3) She has already been scared off a bit by some terrible invasion into her and her families private life. I guess a few months back at least one guy, if not several, tracked down her real name/home address/personal facebook accounts of her and her sister, etc. I believe she was able to get all that removed from the internet (thank goodness) but it took a toll on her mentally. So, understandably she is "gun shy" about diving into porn head first and being super interactive with people. In conclusion, the 2 big points are: do not buy a custom video from her because she won't follow through and leave you with a very disappointing clip for your money *if at some point she does fix this for me and gets me a new and improved video, I will gladly come here and tell everyone about it* And, also, we all need to take a step back and take a deep breath from the Mia Melano train. Barring Lansky or someone else quickly getting her into film, editing it and releasing it, there won't be a new scene from her for quite a while (as of 10 days ago, i know for a fact she hasn't shot again and there are ZERO scenes shot and awaiting release at that time). And, unfortunately, unless she decides to put her personal career aspirations on hold and drop out of school, there won't be time for her to shoot a plethora of scenes. EDIT: I forgot to mention 1 thing... Despite my extreme disappointment and borderline anger over the custom video, Mia does come across as being a nice girl and I do wish her all the best whether it be in porn or the personal life she pursues outside of porn. I did not mean to paint a picture of some awful, mean, ungrateful, greedy person who took my money, made a quick crappy video and is now ignoring me. Respect is a very rare thing to be found these days, and I fear nothing will stop certain idiots from keeping demanding that their favourite actresses do every kind of circus act they fancy in their minds. Every time I read something like "she MUST do anal now, or...", I can only cringe at that feeling of entitlement this conveys... I, for once, will be happy if a girl decides do to something I like to see, but I know that it is entirely up to her, and nobody else! We're talking about one of the best looking girls to ever enter the industry. That's why there's such interest in her. You may not agree, you may think she's no hotter than plenty of other girls working, but plenty of people think she's just about the fittest, hottest girl to enter the business in years. Personally, I like her a lot. I can't get over how such a hot looking girl (who's only 18 for christ's sake) would actually do porn in the first place, but I'm not obsessed with her. Shows a few things: 1) They turned this around real quick. She shot it within last 2 weeks so that's really quick work. Hats off to them. 2) They are well aware how popular she is and didn't want to waste any time putting out more content of her. 3) Lanksy is quite the business man, releasing this on Christmas so that people will buy new memberships with their holiday gift money. 4) She clearly has an exclusive deal with Lanksy. Just a matter of how long it lasts. Other companies have reached out to her but haven't filmed her yet Lansky flies her out to LA, films at least 1 new scene (if not more) and gets it released in no time.
