Disappointed with this release...some internal (sup[posedly) cum shots...waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much atmosphere vs hot sex scenes...pretty much a bloated waste of my time. Will be up on ebay soon...my user id is Rjdsgod. [Link] |

Michael has put out some titles that are nothing sort of classics, but recent release has been heavy on the abstract and alternative hardcore. You'll see IR, you'll see anal, but more than likely you'll be exposed to hardcore in a softcore manner. I enjoy his work, but I can honestly say that it's more than each title has a smokin scene, then you get a lot of fluff that you could do without. It's like a 4 course meal when you only want the steak and potato's. [Link] |

I thought it was brilliant. By far the best of the "big releases" I have seen this month. Liquidnoose, Ninn has put the edited bits of sex on Disc 2...he did that for fans who thought there wasn't enough sex in the movie, so I'm unsure what the complaining is about. If you want a great story, watch the movie...if you want hot sex, just watch the sex scenes and the footage on Disc 2. Seems like there's enough of both for viewers. I actaully repsect Ninn for his decision to trim two of the pop-shots because he felt they didn't flow well with his story. I can't believe the "bloated" comments...almost all the other studios are clocking their "big" features in at the 3-hour plus mark, Sacred Sin is a tight two-hours 15 minutes, with little, if any, wasted moments. It's one of the few releases this year I've watched more than a couple of times...it holds up to repeat viewing very well.Edited by - TheLoneGunman on 9/18/2006 11:36:29 AM [Link] |

Disc 2 has solos masturbatin scenes by each girl...the deleted scenes are 2 we have seen before with the pop shots...the making of featurette is pretty cool...the best thing about this dvd is the Van Halen videos where we see him shred like no other!!Watched the movie again and am sticking with my tepid sex acts synopsis....this one was a let down. ninn is hit and miss for me. for example: with catherine, the sex was good, everything in between I didn't enjoy, but I found the story in this one to be much more enjoyable, but the sex is softer. ninn's recent features are much more about art and less about the standard, straight forward, story-based feature. obviously, that's a good thing for some and bad for others. ninn always delivers high production value, but that doesn't neccessarily = enjoyment. Ninn's movies put me to sleep. The sex is usually boring, mechanical, and drags on too long. [Link] |

I was hoping to get through the movie yesterday, but ended up only making it about halfway through due to other stuff going on. So far, I have to agree with TheLoneGunman. It's very artistic, but there's a very nicely done story with plenty of thought behind the movie along with the amazing visuals. I didn't mind the implied internal in the first scene, and thought it was handled quite well (along with everything else about the opening scene). The second implied internal between Nick and Brooke didn't work as well for me because the scene just seemed chopped off. Then again, that scene as a whole didn't work as well for me because (as was mentioned in the commentary), Nick and Brooke seemed to want it to be a harder scene and Ninn wanted it softer and more romantic to fit the story. I'm really looking forward to finishing the movie, and should have a review out later this week..."Vegetarianism for me is about saying ‘yes’ to things - even meat." - Coupling [Link] |

It's probably going to take me a few more days to get through the rest of this one, but after finishing the movie I have to say that this is easily one of the best movies of the year. Yes, the sex is softer, but that doesn't mean that it's weaker. The story and acting are extremely strong, and might have more intelligence put into them than that of every other feature released this year. I wasn't even done with the movie when I knew I was going to have to watch it again to try to figure things out, and at the same time it's all done so well that I look forward to doing so."Vegetarianism for me is about saying ‘yes’ to things - even meat." - Coupling [Link] |

Haven't seen it yet, so I can't comment on it. I can comment on Ninn though. I too find him hit or miss. My main problems being the MTV-style editing he does or used to do all the time. Take away that, and I find few feature directors can compete with him. He has an eye for the visual that most simply don't or can't even comprehend. Take away all the silly editing, and I'd find most of his films very easy to watch and/or jerk-off-to. His gift can sometimes be his curse. Been trying to get this film, but it is usually out.Edited by - Aplus on 10/16/2006 12:16:31 AM [Link] |

Beautifully, beautifully done, and of course the PR moves he's been making and his alliance with Eddie Van Halen add to the package. Is it just me or is Ninn, artistically, moving in an even more free form Andrew Blake direction as usual.I loved stuff from his VCA/Shayla's web period the best. [Link] |
