Check out something from the likes of JulesJordan or Greg Lansky's brands - all look superb in my view and helping to preserve scenes for the future.
4k content is typically shot at 60 fps. The Evil Angel website is hosted and maintained by Gamma Entertainment. They do the same for many other content providers and websites, and on none of them do they offer 60 fps files. What then has to happen is a re-encoding of the original 60 fps video file down to 29.97 fps. In so doing every other frame gets removed, and thus the judder that was described. When their is minimal movement in the video the problem is not that visible. But when there is movement it is very apparent. A few of us brought this up in the Darkko thread after he bought his first 4k camera. He got angry and defensive that we pointed out a technical problem that was not really even his fault. Gamma just sucks.
This isn't true. As the above poster says, the visual result of any 4K content depends on various different factors. As long as it's shot & mastered/exported/encoded properly, you won't get any of those issues. There're already a decent amount of material available in 4K that looks absolutely great on a nice & large 4K screen. I hope porn producers jump on implementing HDR in future content...stuff that's properly mastered look amazing. It's really a game changer on the same level similar to the transition from standard def to HD. I think it would be a great idea for Mike to invest and hire someone technically savvy to implement these features. Right now, the quality of his videos is very soft and full of noise & artifacts, the colors are oversaturated, and bright/white portions of the video are totally blown out. High bitrate 4K/HDR specifically would enhance the dynamic range of the picture and would really bring out the vibrant colors and detail of his video...and this effect would of course trickle down to lower resolution encodes for people who don't like downloading those huge resolution files.
