Is it just me or did anyone else get the impression that Mike did not seem that interested in Anal Therapy? I thought he looked like he was just going through the motions, it almost reminded me like it was almost like a normal day job and he was just going through the normal daily grind like everyone else. I can't believe how bad the editing is now! A 4th grader could do better! All kinds of jumpy cuts and shit, I really hope it improves. It really screws with the flow of the movie for me. And just to be on the record, the food stuff is awesome and takes up maybe 5% of Mike's movies. Fast forward.

What is the exact reason Mike and Claudio parted ways? I agree with some of you that Mike's movies will lack in terms of angles and camerawork, Claudio is the best cameraman for Mike's movies no doubt. This is really a pity.
He's not on Twitter or I'd give you his handle, but his name is Laszlo H. He's been shooting Mike for Bangbros and New Sensations for years. On a side note, apparently that Claudio/Mick/Anikka collaboration is gonna be released through Evil Angel. Also sounds like there's more to come.

This thread makes me laugh, it pretty much typifies in essence the fickleness and the double standards of the porn fan community - director shoots top quality mainstream porn, fans complain it's all the same, director shoots kinkier stuff that's new and different to the maintstream, fans complain it's too weird and demand vanilla mainstream porn. Im not knocking any of the new experimental stuff Mike is doing, each to their own and i think its good that Mike is trying to cater for a broader range of fetishes. My Issue is with Mike no longer working with Maestro Claudio, i think some of the camera work and editing was noticeably not up to the usual quality in his last movie. It has been mentioned that the reason why Mike and Claudio are no longer working together is because of Mike focusing more on this experimental stuff with the food. I am not sure if this is the reason or not. But i think they were a winning team when they were working together and i,m hoping this does not cause future releases to be of a lower standard than what Mike was doing before.

Some people like the food stuff. Some don't. Just because there is an audience for that kink doesn't mean the fans that don't enjoy it should still suck his dick. Before I would get into specifics I would ask three questions? 1. Are you new to editing? 2. Are you under any guidelines or directives by Mike as to how you edit his scenes? 3. Are you also the cameraman, which would help in your ability to edit the scenes. Simply cutting and clearing out the things you don't want people to see or hear and then dragging all the clips together before encoding is not editing. On the business side I would encourage you to encourage Mike to communicate with his growing group of disgruntled fans either here or on twitter.

Which movies have you filmed / edited with Mike? To be honest I didn't notice anything different about his latest release (Asshole Therapy). The only thing I've noticed different is in the trailers there's not as much time focused on each specific girl after their name comes on screen. I do have one request for the camera work, which I think many people here would agree about. I would love to see the camera zoomed out a bit more sometimes. I love the closeups in his movies, but sometimes they're TOO close up and it would be great to get a better zoomed out view. Here's a picture of a perfect shot (IMO) from one of his older movies with Aline (Pick Up Chicks). Garrett that's awesome you're asking for feedback. The main thing I don't like is abrupt cuts, going from a girl's asshole to face within a tenth of a second ruins the flow for me. I'd like to see a more natural ending to the previous scene and some lead in to the next. If you want even more specific I could give you scene times... Thanks man.
Hi, yes i am familiar with Laszlo and have enjoyed the Bangbros and New Sensations stuff he has done with Mike. I,m sure Mike will continue in the same vain and produce quality stuff. I have everything Mike has ever done, even the digital sin stuff. He is my favourite director for Evil Angel with probably Lex steele and Nacho a close second and third. I do not mean to be nosey but do you know why Mike and Claudio decided to part ways? i thought they made such a good partnership.

Yeah I agree. Mix up the camera angles and include some where you get to see the girls face. Make sure they make eye contact with the camera. Views like that are vastly underused IMO.

Well this sounds like a VERY interesting project that Claudio has going with Mick and Anikka: From the sounds of things it's a movie with BGG scenes with Anikka, Mick and a different girl in each scene who gets fucked in the ass and Claudio as the cameraman. If this is what it turns out to be then I'm very excited . It sounds like a similar arrangement to the Le Wood 'Anal Hazing Crew' set up, where the married couple work over a girls asshole big time . Claudio actually posted some clarity on how this business arrangement is going to work, it sounds very exciting BAM - "*Something* Anikka Mick" maybe? Wonder what the 'B' stands for. Either way, it's good to hear it will be for Evil Angel still, which means we will still get to see everything they shoot together. It might be an idea at this stage to start up a seperate thread for Claudio now that we know he's no longer working with Mike.

I certainly regret joining now. The last two releases are old and were released elsewhere a few years ago, not to mention the recurrent bugs on the site. He's fast ruining his reputation.
My most anticipated scene of this year and this crap had to happen. ;_; Mike should book her again for another 1on1. Or Claudio should just push out the scene quick. I'd subscribe to get the scene then cancel.

I Just watched Aidra Fox scene from "Top Notch Anal". Man... how i miss Claudio and his wife! Laszlo and the new editing guy are fucking ruining Mike's movies. This is EvilAngel my friends! Some of the new scenes are looking like DigitalSin or BangBros. Fuck.
^ Yeah I have to say, I felt a similar way whilst watching Jillian Janson's latest scene, largely because there were no fade transitions whatsoever for any of the cuts. So one minute Jillian's getting fucked, and then suddenly it cuts to her lying on the futon describing the intensity of her orgasm. It just looks really slapdash now.
At last people are beginning to make the right comments about Mikes movies since the departure of Claudio. I have to say all in all i find the Camera work to be as good as Claudio, however the editing leaves a lot to be desired. It does just cut from one position to another too quickly and geves the impression it has just been cobbled together. It requires fades when the screen shot is changing to Mike fucking the girl in a different position. The fades might seem like a little thing but they make the movie flow much better and give much better continuity. I used to like it when the screen would fade for instance to show mike oiling up the girls ass before they fuck in cowgirl position. I noticed in Asshole Therapy that it would just jump straight to the next screenshot when changing positions, it just does not flow that way and lucks like they have just cobbled together a collection of different fucking positions. I have to say that looking back it seems we owe a lot to Claudio's wife for doing such a good job editing all the EA releases. Maybe these are just teething problems and something Mike and Laszlo will sort out when they have got more Evil Angel releases under their belt, we all know mike is a great performer and director, we know Lazslo has great camera skills from all the Bangbros and New sensations stuff. I feel if they can get the editing right then they can get back to the level of quality they were producing when Claudio was involved. Please Mike, Lazslo or Garrett view my post and take these points on board, i know you guys have what it takes to still produce the best stuff on Evil Angel, but please make sure the editing is done to a higher standard than that of Asshole therapy so that fans can enjoy the high quality they have become accustomed to. Even if this means a slight delay in the release date or maybe releasing less movies a month, i would rather have quality over quantity.

I thought the editing has been slippin for awhile...too much quantity over quality, Mikes doing too much work looking forward to watching Abella Dangers scenes tho.
If you want an example of what i,m talking about with the fades then go and revisit Anal Dream Team and pick out the Lisa Ann Scene (scene 3) at around 40 mins 50 secs into that scene the screen fades to Mike Kissing with Lisa and oiling her ass just before she proceeds to ride him cowgirl. That is what i mean about fading into the next position, we get the fade into the kissing and seeing mike oiling her ass as a little tease before the fucking starts in cowgirl. It just requires a little finer thought on choosing the fade points and making sure they fade into a little bit more tease before the next fucking position.
I think Mike is at a level where he can maintain the level of work, think about it, in terms of Mike's input i have not noticed any dip in quality. He always and performs well and captures quality content. I think Laszlo can also be just as good a cameraman as Claudio. It seems to me its all about the finishing touches and the editing. Top priority is make sure the position changes are done with a fade, and also pick the correct places where to do the fade and ensures it fades into something where we get a little bit of tease factor before the actual fucking continues, things like fades into kissing and oiling of girls asses, fades into blowjobs. I think Claudios wife had the right idea when it came to doing this. So maybe Mikes new editing guy should look back at some of the older Evil Angel stuff and pick up a few pointers.

I also see the differences in editing. Although nothing important, but I have also noticed how they changed the trailers on EvilAngel, all scenes are mixed together. There is no fade anymore like someone mentioned. Now every scene statrs kinda abruptly and sometimes at random points as well. I have to say I also miss Claudio already. That's why I want to know what happened. Usually I looked forward to Mike's scenes but now that feeling has kind of diminished.

I agree, i think Mike has to realize that he has many fans and a big following, and with that does come some responsibility. As i said its the sudden cuts and changes within a scene, it requires fade so it flows and is a smoother transition when switching to a different position with the girl. We are not talking cutting edge technology here in order to do a fade when switching positions. Claudio and his wife were great and i do believe Mike made his best stuff when working with Claudio. I am not saying he can't get back to that level of quality, but he really needs to take on board the feedback of the fans. I never call into questions Mikes talent as a performer and director, but it is a team effort to produce a quality finished movie. It also seems such a waste when the girls have put in a great performance along with Mike, and Laszlo capturing great angles with the camera, all that can count for nothing if the final editing of the movie is not up to scratch. Mike if you ever want to appoint me as a consultant i would be more than happy to fly out to California and help you with choosing the right fade points within your movies.
