^ You're right. Thanks for mentioning that. IAFD lists her as being in 13 of the Pickup Lines editions. She wasn't on my radar so while I have a lot from that series in my collection I only have her scenes in 10 and 11. Both are good scenes though. If I ever stumble on these again in a membership I'll be sure to download them.
She appeared in five editions of a similar series by Odyssey Group too, titled The Video Adventures of Peeping Tom. I have a lot from that series too, but none with Avalon.

Oddly for an American pornstar active when she was, she went through a lot of stage names. IAFD lists 19 different names for her over an eight year career. That has to be near a record for an American working at this time.

Seems I've been a perv longer than you young whippersnappers. I remember Avalon and remember many other favorites. However I don't think anyone has mentioned Laure Sainclair. Very elegant French actress. She was Dorcel's first contract actress. She was brought over to Vegas when CES (Consumer Electronics Show) had an adult section. Beautiful lady, but very demure. Unfortunately I saw a clip of her later on French television where she regretted her adult work. I think it got her mainstream work however. She originally wanted to be high fashion model, but was short. She appeared to be 5'6" or 5'7." I was so hung-ho that I even tracked down her French pop singles.
Love Lauren Hall! She didn't work long but put out some great stuff in the late 80s and early 90s. I am also a huge Megan Salinas fan and she has a great face and an amazing body for a slender girl. Fairly well-known, but sadly a lot of G/G and solo scenes. She has a very limited number of B/G scenes including a scene in Randy West's Up n Cummers.
I would also say Avalon was not the greatest B/G performer. When you have a face and body like hers, you don't have to bring much to the party but yourself. She's definitely in the very top few of the most gorgeous women in porn.
Clearly Lauren Hall's face was sublime. As you have alluded to, her ass was amazing. Those of us from that era still bemoan her relatively short career.
While I might have a different list, I cannot question placing Angel at the very top. While this topic "most gorgeous" has recirculated a few times over the years under different variations, we have moved beyond the prime years of many porn actresses. We old school porn aficianados revere Angel who graced the pages of Penthouse as Jennifer James when this was a big deal.
Unfortunately, Miss Angel's performances were typically muted by the poor camera angles and the short edited sex scenes of the 80's era.
^ Angel first came to my attention at a theater in Washington DC in a film called Pleasures Of Innocence (1984) where she went by the name Brandee. Angel was at her best in two titles she did for Cecil Howard a shot on video Dangerous Stuff (1985) and Star Angel (1986), my fingers are crossed that that these two fine pieces of work make it to Blu-Ray/DVD one day. I first remember Angel as a VHS box cover star. In the days of adult video sections, VHS box covers were prominently displayed. Angel's face moved merchandise. Many porn actresses never made it to the cover. Then surprisingly, Penthouse featured Jennifer James (Angel) as a Penthouse Pet (1985). I don't know know if she was contracted before her porn career, but it was unusual at the time to see a Penthouse Pet in porn before or after their Penthouse feature.
Angel's career might seem limited with only 52 IAFD listings, but his was an era where porn actresses didn't pile up 50 plus scenes in their first year. Angel frequently appeared with 80's superstar Ginger Lynn. Both had that fresh, youthful face combined with lithe, nubile bodies. Ginger Lynn is an interesting contrast from that era because early on she seemed to start delivering a more raunchier persona (anal, DP, etc.) as compared to the relatively more refined Angel. Both were great in their own way.
