i'm having problems with my pc keyboard today. its an acer laptop & it has done goofy things in the past but today i spilled a drink on my desk & my usb hub got a little moist. i cleaned it all up super quick but now, every time i hit "enter" the key does do a hard return, instead it goes back to the top of the paragraph. its driving me nuts! this laptop originally came with vista, but i removed it & put xp on it. i'm going to check the acer downloads section to see if there are any drivers i'm missing but i'm no expert so i don't even know if keyboards have drivers. does anyone have any hints or suggestions? thx in advance.

when i try & use the "delete" key, i am getting the equals sign. lol it seems it is just the higher functioning keys. not the letter or numbers.

Sounds like a short circuit. It might get better as it dries out but the residue might still be conductive.

well my new laptop looks fried. pulled out the old one until i can figure out what im gonna do. i opened up all the flaps underneath & there was no moisture anywhere but after it died because of opening it im assuming. fuckin computers
