I think the whole "MILF" thing is just a label that lets people who dig mature women know that that's what they can expect. I think it's originally from the mainstream flick, American Pie. Maybe someone should come up with another term for hot older women. It does seem ridiculous to see girls in their 20's referred to as "MILF's." Personally, I like lots of different types of women. I've always cosidered "MILF" to be pretty specific in definition: A Mother of a child at least 10 years of age, or older that would create sexual fantasies in a male or female of teen age or older.
Now maybe I'm just too into the 'American Pie' lingo on the term, but itdefinitely has to do with a woman who is over 30 and is still considered highly fuckable.

It's a peculiar phenomenon. Back when I was a teen, which is long before the dumbass American Pie movies, we had very few women who fell into that category. Maybe Gloria Estefan (she had her song when she was pretty young) and Demi Moore.
During those times, it was like, once a woman became a mother she seemed to let herself go. Or didn't try to regain her pre-pregnancy look. You just didn't see mothers, even in their 30s, who look like Kate Beckinsale, Charisma Carpenter or Uma Thurman do now. I for one welcome it.

Yeah, maybe not. The "MILF" concept has come to be (rightly or wrongly) allied with the concept of mid/late-30s or older women, be they mothers or not. That's just the way culture has evolved, my friend. Yes, an 18-y/o could potentially be a "mother" who I'd like to fuck, but that misses the point entirely.

Funny -- I started this thread to express my feeling that the whole MILF thing is an annoying crock of shit. Instead, I seem to have sparked a debate about what does or doesn't constitute MILF-ness.

I've been reviewing a few MILF videos of late and my big problem with them is the fact that many of these titles really don't point out the "mother" aspect. They simply use women who are look old enough to not get carded for booze and then just refer to them as "moms" on the box and in the title.
A good example of this is the "I Wanna Cum Inside Your Mom 2" video, where you had two scenes with a mom banging her daughter's boyfriend, and one with a mom banging her son's teacher. Here the "mother" theme is established. But then in "I Wanna Cum Inside Your Mom 3", there is no such story established at the start of the scenes. It's just older women having sex.
Look, if you want to ride the MILF craze then that's fine... just establish the "Mother" part somewhere in the scene. Otherwise market it as featuring "older women" or "mature women" or just "women".

My definition: MILF = Your "friend's mom". Meaning that "you" need to be old enough to be sexually attracted to your friend's mother (for this occasion your friend is the same age as "you"). That means any woman old enough to have a child around age 13-18. In most cases that excludes girls who are 25 or 30. We are talking around 33-35 and upwards for the fantasy to work.

I totally agree these terms are thrown around too easily. I think a Cougar is a woman who is about 35 to 40 plus who is still in good shape and a pinup style beauty like the beautiful and fit Julia Ann and can compete with the younger ladies. The MILF term I think gets its origin from real life women because by definition a porn star is a beautiful woman, so calling a porn star a MILF (Mom Id Like To Fuck) is kinda obvious. So I think a MILF is more a non pinup style beauty who has that little something different that turns you on which could be a fuller figure, big boobs, big butt etc but also remind you of woman you have had in your life like neighbours, teachers and of course friends moms who for me never looked or look liked porn stars.
Go to Adam and Eve's site and see from their (limited) catalog just how pervasive this MILF phenomenon is. they have almost 200 titles far and away more than any other niche genre. WTF?
