How do I fix my signature so there's some space between the end of my post and my signature so it doesn't look like the signature is part of the text of the post? Sure, regs will know it's my sig after a few posts but newbies will be confused. [Link]

I'm not a fan of signatures so I never spent much time improving them. I suppose I should do so. I plan to put a dividing line below the post so the signature is set apart from the post. [Link]

The primary problem with signatures at the moment is that they are actually appended to the end of the post and stored as part of the post text (subsequently editable, etc.) I think there's a better way to handle it. I just haven't plotted it out yet. [Link]

Click to expand When I used to use a sig, I had put a string of underscores "________" as the first line in the signature. Then I put the text below that. The solid line created by the string of underscores differentiated the signature from the post. [Link]
