Can anyone tell me how to uninstall hjsplit? I've tried looking in in the programs list and it's not there.

As far as I know, HJSplit is a standalone executable and does not install. It's just one file: "hjsplit. exe". If you don't want it any more delete it.

Ahh, thanks. So, I just delete it off the desktop then? In that case, maybe you can help with a little problem I'm having with the program. Well, I was trying to get a Real Player file to work yesterday when I inadvertently changed the split function so that, rather than splitting the file into an "Unknown File" icon, it instead now shows an icon with a small WMV symbol in the centre which, when clicked, won't function at all; nor can I rename files when it does this. I've tried to uninstall then reinstall the hjsplit program, but when I reinstall hjsplit it still splits the file into that same useless icon with the small WMV symbol in the centre that I can't change or use in any way. Hope you can help in some way to change the settings of hjsplit so it goes back to splitting the files into "Unknown Files" icons?

This is sort of hard to follow. You want to split one file into many smaller files right? NOT join small files into larger ones? If you want to split, what it produces is files then end in .001, .002, .003, etc. If those are now showing up as Windows Media files, that means .001, .002, etc are associate with windows media player. You can edit or remove those associations in the Windows File Explorer. Go to Tools -> Folder Options, then click on the File Types tab. All associations should be listed there.

I'll end here for now.
