Pick up any tabloid and you will see Keira Knightly or Jessica Alba with washboard abs..the story will read "Anorexia, sickness, unhealthy, drugs"
On the converse, pick up any self respecting womens magazine or watch tv.. and they have article after article about how to lose weight, take these pills..they will curb your appetite.. get this surgery to keep you from eating..
When a woman loses weight in society she is sick, or has anorexia.. yet when she is fat there is every diet, pill, surgery or talkshow to help her lose the weight.. wtf?
I loved the Naomi of a year ago when we all found her, with that great figure and fine ass. She WAS unbelievable!!
But to see her now looking waif like Kate Moss like is NOT ATTRACTIVE!! If you think those Calvin Klein/Hilfegar models that look dead and walk the run way are attractive then you are welcome to them. I like to look at REAL figured woman and one that have a nice figure, body etc....that is what makes them appealing to voyeurs like me.
THERE IS NO APPEAL in looking like some Zombie babe.....so Naomi EAT!!!!
I saw Naomi in Vegas and it looked like she hadn't lost any more weight since I saw her at Erotica LA.
I agree with Deicide in that people are throwing a clinical term such as anorexia too recklessly out of ignorance. I've known quite a number of people over the years with eating disorders including anorexia and trust me they don't look like how Naomi looks with that muscle tone.
I remember seeing volleyball player/model Gabby Reece bend backwards to take off a shirt and her ribs popped out similarly yet no one accuses her of eating disorders.
I talked with Naomi a little about her weight loss and she sounded level headed when she listed the health reasons for doing so. She talked about exercising religiously so there is still the possibility that she may be taking uhhh some pharmaceutical supplements to cut/maintain the weight.
It's hard to imagine she has an eating disorder with that much muscle going on. But also you can't help someone unless they want it. From looking at her, it seems as though it's something far more threatening than a anal diet for sure. And when you're at that point, usually girls don't want help or the addiction is so far advanced that help from another is not an option until she wants it and is ready.

I'd like to know what muscle tone everybody is talking about? All I see is exposed muscle. Look how concave her cheeks have become. They're completely hollowed out and her teeth don't fit in her mouth. I'm not going to say anymore about this because I don't know the girl, but that picture does not show anything approaching fitness or health.

Just comparing how she looks now to how she looked in her scene for Mike John in "Sperm Receptacles #2", the difference is dramatic . She definitely looks like she's got plenty of muscle mass in her arms and upper body, but she just looked extremely gaunt to me in person.
Her body is her own business, after all. I just hope she's okay and taking care of herself.

I know I cut out a few sentences. But now re-read this and tell me if it sounds caring or callous.
On Friday at the convention there was a man who kept coming to our booth and making fun of Naomi to her face. He told her she looked cracked out and like crap. We weren't aware of it until about the 5th time, and then our security kicked him out. However, by that point Naomi was practically in tears. While I'm not sure if she's clinically anorexic (yet), I do believe that she has a severe body dysmorphia. She does not believe she looks thin at all, and one day asked some of us in the booth if one of her outfits made her look 'too big'. I don't personally know any directors in the business who told Naomi last year that she was too big, but if there were any, they should be banned from the industry. She had "the perfect body" last year.
Anyway....... Naomi checked out of the Venetian on Saturday morning because she chose not to deal with the fans anymore during the day on Saturday.
I'm sorry, but there's a difference between voicing concern for someone and telling them that they look horrible. Body image problem or not, she's a person with sensitive feelings, and I'm not sure that this week will help her with that. It will probably just make her withdraw even more.
She's an amazingly sweet person, and I wish her the best, and will be continuing to talk with her through her agency and hope she comes to terms with being more healthy.
Sometimes nothing has to be said. If she does have body dysmorphia, (sounds like she does), it didn't appear only after entering the adult industry. Having a job that relies so heavily on her looks and physicality has simply aggravated whatever issues were already there. And people who have body image problems and/or related disorders tend to place a lot of pressure on themselves.This makes me so sad. Even sadder that she ran instead of standing tall. Or that she let some asshole get to her. But I'm sure through the course of the convention it was more than that one man. People's nonverbal reactions can say just as much as verbal ones. When you're sensitive about something you will pick up more readily on every negative thing.I think it's very easy for us fans to forget that performers are real people. Especially when it comes to the magnificent ones who put on such a great show.

However, the prick that said the crap to her at the awards show should have been kicked squarely in the balls; because that will only drive the woman to go further off the deep end, and we dont want that. Hopefully if anything good is able to come out of this we will see Naomi looking healthier sometime soon.
Can't these people be kicked out completely? Are they free to go harass someone else at another booth? They should be escorted to the back door and have their camera shoved up their ass! If they beg for clemency, they should be allowed a little bit of lube.
Doesn't sound callous at all to me. It sounds like somebody who wants to help somebody they like and doesn't quite know how to help them. It's also sad that people were so rude to her to the point she felt she had to leave.

my two cents --
It may just be that she likes the waif look. A lot of people do. That's fine if the people in the forum don't like how she looks. I think what's important is (1) that she likes the way she looks, and (2) that she is physically healthy. Why don't those who know her encourage her to get a physical and some lab tests -- if those turn out abnormal, it will help her to confront the problem because the evidence will be there in black and white. If they turn out normal -- and they might! --- then maybe she still might have a psych problem, but if it's not affecting her physically, and I don't think we have to fear for her. There are lots of untreated psych cases that do okay in the world, even if they are a bit different. Lots of "normal" people obsess about their looks and weight anyway; that a cultural disease.
I feel bad for her as if anyone in the business told her she is fat then they are to blame god for bid she ends up dead over this. She is not a healthy skinny and she's to thin for her frame. She needs to be taken into the hospital or a clinic to get some help before it's to late.
The best thing that came out of this series of posts is knowing that Naomi has so many people who are concerned and care about her. I sincerely hope that, if she reads these, she understands that people are worried and concerned and are not putting her down in any way.
Also, Tricia's comments (above) explains why Naomi was not at the AVNs. There was some talk that she was being disrespectful of AVN and the industry by not coming to the show. Tricia's comments let's me understand what I did not know.

I got a more detailed story from my booth security. Unfortunately, becuase Naomi's line wasn't as long as Belladonna's or Katsumi's I only had 1 security guy on Naomi's side of the booth since there were less fans to watch over. He told me that on Friday, Naomi was very upset, and when he went up to ask her what was wrong, she told him that a guy had come up to talk to her all 3 days, and each day he asked her for an autorgraph but was very rude to her and told her that she didn't look good at all. On Friday he took the picture that she signed (which showed her body from a year ago) and grabbed the sharpie from her hand and scratched out half off her butt cheek area and said 'there, that's what you look like now. He told her that she looked horrible and that without her ass, she was worthless. She took the picture from him and tore it in two. It was at this point that the security guy went up to her, but the asshole guy ducked away first.
Wow what a dick, I wished Naomi had use one of her heels to split the uprights between his thighs. Talk about total classless behaviour, that just pisses me off bigtime as I know how patient the girls are at those shows and to be treated like that just makes me sick.
regardless of what she looks like she shouldn't get disrespected like that, there is a better way to hopefully get her back on track physically, as fans we should write the folks who oversee her career that having her doing marathon sessions of anal sex movies isn't worth her health, we all fell for her for a reason and folks in her camp should remind her that she got more love when she was natrually thick. If it is drugs, she needs help and encouragement, whoever that dick was seriously did not help the matter at all.
I feel sorry for Naomi even more after reading all this. There is so much pressure to be skinny. In a recent thread on ADT about how skinny Naomi is becoming, ADT favorite Kimi Lixx referred to herself as a "big fat hippo". It's that mentality that only serves to contribute to the obsession to be skinny and it really pisses me off.

Very sad, and it's too bad the guy wasn't caught earlier. Also just had the thought about Tricia's post and whether it was callous or caring. A good friend is somebody who tells you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. If Naomi finds this thread, I hope she realizes how many friends she has here.

Astro - I know what you're saying about 'a good friend'. However, most of the people being brutally honest with her aren't her actual friends, they probably don't even know her real full name. So to her it might come off as just hurtful and impersonal; not as something well-meaning from a close friend. I just think there's a better way of saying it.
Believe me, there were many of her friends at the show telling her that they preferred her at a heavier weight like last year. But we've been telling her that since Erotica LA...
Tricia that is so tragic i wish i had seen that guy do that stuff. i got to share a lot of time wiht Naomi last year at AEE i recall some fan telling another fan she was over weight i know Naomi did not hear him. me and the other guy told him he was crazy she was perfect several fans were saying she needed a boob job i said she was fine just the way she was. i hope that some where some way she can find her way back to her early phyiscal state. sad thing her mental state may never be the same.
Often times that's what's wrong with "friends" is that honesty is often sugar coated. (which aren't TRUE friends in my opinion, to each their own. This is where you weed the acquaintences out of the friend pool) Bluntness with still an amount of compassion is what's important when it comes to true friends. Not just saying "you look fine, there's nothing wrong with you, they're just being assholes"
Bottom line, something is wrong with her somehow, someway. She obviously needs some kind of help. But it'll never occur until she is ready to do so and even dare making that step forward to get it done. And no one can or will, let alone help make those changes for her if she isn't willing. First step... find the will to heal.

All this talk and we're still focused on Naomi's body. When it's her body that got Naomi into this mess. It could very well be that bad habits predate porn and helped shape that AVN Newbie of the Year 'bod.' Now her problems are just magnified by all the added attention both good and bad.
Hopefully someone whom she relates to a personal level can help her work through her insecurities.

This is my first time here and I had to agreed with most of the people on this board about Naomi and her weight problem. I saw her in that video 'Housewives Gone Black 2' when she gave a steamy performance with Mr. Marcus. She looked very healthy, attractive and hot. I just couldn't believe my eyes of what's happening to her now. This is a tragedy. I agreed with Tricia that whomever put words in her ear that she's too fat and needed to lose weight they should be thrown out of the industry. It's put a very negative stance to all women in the entertainment industry. Look at Kate Bosworth and Nicole Richie for example. They looked like death for god's sake and Naomi's(Even though from what I hear is very sweet girl) heading that same road if she's doesn't get help now. Is there's a support system in place for girls like Naomi to get help with this matter? If so, she needs to go there. Or we'll probably see her in the obits section.
So, stating the obvious, does she have anyone who will step-in here?
Would an "intervention" by some of her co-workers and employers be in the realm of possible?
Really, what I would like to see happen is for someone to convince Naomi to just go see a doctor and be evaluated. Then, take it from there.
Would this be something Sharon Mitchell and AIM could help with?

If she were to read this chain, she would probably think you guys just don't get it.
And who's to say? Only a doctor really. But telling people that they look so bad they should see a doctor is, well, pretty insulting.
As with most disorders with a psych aspect, the patient needs to recognize theres a problem. And that usually mean waiting for something bad to happen before you can convince them their is something wrong. And she just hasn't reached "rock bottom".
You've got to wait for that to happen, or even promote it. Then this whore will drink. and eat.
So just wait for her to pass out a few times. Or why don't one you guys go to the gym with her! It'll be apparent pretty quickly if she's to weak to do much. Then she might believe she's got a problem.
If it was said directly to Naomi, I agree that it would sound callous. But it wasn't. Being that the statement came from Den, there is no question that it was nothing but caring.Which is exactly why I know that Den's comments were caring. After seeing Naomi, Den didn't say anything to her about her weight. What he did was to wait until he saw you to ask if she was OK and if anyone was trying to help her.
The whole point is to intervene before it comes to this. By the time she realizes she needs help, it may be too late to do any good The physical damage done to the body is not always reversible.

Well, there's only so much anyone can do, you know? A person's got to make up there own mind. I have a friend who is bipolar, and when in the beginning family and doctors tried to force psychotherapy and medications on him etc he found ways to not take them, tune out the therapist, and carry on, because he didn't really think he had a problem. Only until he had several very destructive manic episodes where he ended up hospitalized did he come to accept that he needed help.
And I know plenty of people who go to NA and AA meetings completely fucked, and bulimics who promise this and that but still can be caught throwing up. She's got to want to make a change. She obviously doesn't believe she's too skinny; thats part of the disorder. And if she's a true-blooded anorexic you're not going to be able to convince her of that. What will convince her there's a problem is, say, becoming so ugly that no directors want to hire her. That'll make an impact. Or being too weak to handle vigorous exercise. Or ending up hospitalized a few times. That sort of stuff. Just like my bipolar friend. Or the people I know who are clean now after going to jail after their 5th DUI, or after losing their job or friends
So I stick by what I said: if we really want to help Naomi, we need to allow her to hit bottom. Only then is lasting recovery possible.

I agree with that. However, it was repeated in this thread, which no doubt Naomi will see - a girl that insecure is the exact type who reads everything said about her. So while I think it's fabulous that so many people care about her and simply want to make sure she's healthy and well, the things said in this thread really should be worded in the exact same way as if said directly to that person's face.
This has brought me to tears I cannot imagine how sad she must be to of done this to herself. Poor baby girl someone needs to comfort her and get her back to the girl we all knew and adored. Trish if there is anyway possible for you to get involved in getting her into therapy please do it as I'm afraid for her life at this point.

Before everybody starts taking up a collection to sign her up with the Neptune Society, take a look at the picture of her on PL's site. She definitely doesn't have as much body fat as she used to, but it appears she has plenty of muscle mass in her glutes and her thighs.

The "bottom" in this case could be death. The "sit back and wait" approach may work for some things, but shouldn't we do all we can do to try to prevent this.
BTW, I also have known people who were alcoholic, addicts & bipolar. It can be easy to turn a blind eye...
