I recently shot a scene where a girl unknowingly started her period in the middle of the scene. It was easy enough to edit all images of blood out of the final cut, so I can use the footage, no problem. My question is, if I include some of the more sanguine outtakes in the dvd extras, can I get in trouble?

Yo Benny -- what's shaking?

I doubt it. There are video lines devoted to such things. I could be wrong but your only concern would be alientating viewers who dislike such images.

I'm no expert, but wouldn't that depend on community standards? I recently saw a couple of videos where the girl bled a little during the scene.

Do you plan on distributing?

Hi Skronker. Mainly My nuts and Zoe's tits what's shaking, hows by you?

Yes, I plan to distribute it. The scene is for volume 4 of my "Psychocandy" video series. The bloody bits could potentially put some viewers off, that was why I was going to quarrantine those specific shots in the "bonus" section of the DVD. Thank you for your advice... I think I might wind up sneaking the extra scenes on there.

If you are overly worried you can always hide it as an Easter Egg like Arrow did with the fisting scenes from Candy Stripers.

Not being a lawyer nor having stayed at a Holiday Inn recently my take on it would be that by cutting it out of the main film but putting it in as an extra you weren't trying to violate any nebulous community standards but rather trying to show some of the behind the scenes stuff that you have to deal with. Stuff that the average person doesn't think about but that occasionally has to be dealt with. Having it as an "easter egg" isn't a bad idea though, especially if it is presented with other behind the scenes stuff.

One example is the HeathersGangBang series - everyone has their way with the girl in a simulated rape/bondage scene, but you never see the actual rape. A separate tape/dvd has the rape/bondage scene less the sex that was left out of the main feature.

There's always a way around everything.
