Now for the tech bit. I'm totally green when it comes to downloading music from the Net, so seeing that allofmp3 offers downloads of loads of different formats I was wondering what would be the best format for me? I have a Sony NW-A3000 MP3 that up until now has needed Sonic Stage in which to download music from my CD's. So, what would be my best bet for downloading music? 1. Can I download the music straight onto Sonic Stage? If so, how and what format would I need? 2. Or would it be possible to download it onto the hard drive, then transfer the music onto CD and then down to Sonic Stage? If so, what format would I need? Oh, and I also have Roxio installed on my computer. [Link] |

| pinc_noiz Deactivated User 758 Posts 6/05 | Posted - Nov 7 2006 : 11:27AM - ATRAC (.oma) up to 320 kbps lossy / 256 kbps in ATRAC AL lossless Going from 'high quality sound' to 'high compression data' (please keep in mind I take sound-quality over file-size personally): WAV - ATRAC AL - WMA lossless - ATRAC - MP3 - WMA lossy As a rule of thumb: the higher the bitrate, the higher the sound quality (at the expense of used space). You could do some experiments yourself (filing same music using different codecs and listen / watch available space) an decide accordingly. Nice player BTW. Success and enjoy. p_n [Link] |
