I think there are some pornstars that care more about fame and being a star more than others and chart their porn career to achieve that. The biggest stars sometimes aren't the best performers or best looking girls but the ones who work at promoting their image and working for certain studios that have clout. By doing this they build their fanbase which in turn makes them more desirable for the top studios and those studios get the most attention and award nominations. I remember one year I watched the AVN awards on tv and even though I had never seen the majority of movies nominated I was able to pick about 85% of the winners just based on who they were and the studio they worked for. There are plenty of great performers and goodlooking women who will never get the recognition they deserve because they don't or can't play the game. If this this type of stuff is important to you, you have to make the effort and play the game. Are you on Twitter promoting youself nonstop? Are you doing interviews, photoshoots, and taking jobs that may not pay well (or at all) but will put you in the spotlight? Are you working with or doing the type of movies that get the most attention? Have you made a real effort to get along with the right people? Lastly, are you kissing the right asses? Of course some people can make it to porn superstardom without doing that stuff but I'm thinking it doesn't happen that often. I have no idea what you're like in real like and can only judge by the few comments I've read from you in these forums but you don't seem like you're the type looking to go that route. Not judging you either way...if you care more about standing up for yourself and doing what feels right for you, that's fine. If you want more recognition for your work and would like a higher profile that's fine too. Both are totally a legit way to handle a career.

Luck is what made them the superstars of the moment. Can't really say that they fucked the right people, right. with so many beutiful girls the attention has to focus on a couple and that is them.
As if I haven't said enough already.... There are some performers who just have "it". They aren't the always the best performers or the best looking but they're just exciting/fun/sexy to watch. There are girls in porn I just like watching even if they didn't have sex in a scene. In porn there are girls who do everything under the sun and people don't pay much attention to and others who can just walk into a scene and you can't take your eyes off her because she has "it". Some girls are popular/stars of niches. They do great in certain types of porn and sometimes those niches don't get the same sort of attention as other genres of porn. I think there are some girls who are great at feature type stuff, others you blow you away in KINK.com stuff others do there best in JULES JORDAN movies, etc., etc... Personally, I tend to think Mackenzee thrives in stuff like BRAZZERS, NAUGHTY AMERICA, and/or movie when she gets to act a part and starts out dressed. She wears clothes very well with a sexy look that doesn't scream pornstar and she's interesting to watch playing a role of some kind. I don't think doing the over the top sex antics suit her. It's mostly a preference thing on my part but some girls look great doing that stuff and some don't for some reason.

Thanks for all the opinions guys... I brought this up because non-porn friends of mine and I were shooting the shit and they wonder why I have never had recognition. I might need to talk to my agent about how to further my career and how to put it on the fast pace.... Alot of the "rubbing elbows with the right people" makes sense. However, I cant make some one hire me. There are still in 6 years companies I have either never worked for or only a couple times. I havent been given a chance to prove myself to them... I did however excell in the feature dancing world. Awards within 8months, nominations often. I just decided to give that up do to not enjoying always living in hotels. I have alot to thinkabout. Thanks guys! side note: I know some girls get to the top easier/faster by sleeping with the directors, I have always said "i dont do 2 for 1's" meaning I amnot gonna fuck u so you book me for an actual paid shoot.... but to each their own.

Hmmm....That's nice to hear from a fan perspective and I think you deserve proper recognition for the work you do but I thought your goal was to get out of porn. Not saying I want you to leave or you shouldn't reap the benefits of what comes with a higher porn profile but I thought you were working toward your exit strategy. I think to move to the next level of porn recognition you have to commit to the game and embrace it in a different way. Are you up for that type of committment? Plus, if you're planning a non porn career in the near future you have to consider that being a high profile pornstar could make life harder down the road. That type of attention is great while you'r doing porn but may have it's downsides when you're trying to move on. For fans, your porn career, and finacially it would be a great move for you but only if you have long term porn plans. If you think it's the best way to go and will actually be that much better for you than you are now then do it. If you're no sure it would, don't sweat it. Just go out there and do good work and do what you're comfortable with and the fans will support it.

Sure, working for DP /Wicked/ect IS verry differnt....They often have catering, makeup staff(that stayyyy allll dayyyy fortouch ups to keep us looking our best), AWESOME crews... But the days are alot longer, there is alot of hurry up wait/hurry up wait, and sitting around. However, majority of companies always have snacks and awesome crews that are good to the talent... I cant say we are"pampered" bc its not how I see it. I enjoy feature companies bc it gives me something different to shoot. I have nothing bad to say about either, and thats not me just being nice... That the truth.
That is a hard question to answer Mackenzee. You are definitely attractive enough and you have the sexual talent to be a huge star. I believe that sometimes it is simply the luck of the draw. When you enter the industry and what other stars are popular or get popular then can be a major factor. All you can do is continue to be yourself sexually on screen and know that your true fans respect all of your work. You are the best.
How are things going for you overall since coming back to the biz? Are you working as much as you want to and with the companies and people you want to? has there been any or much changes in the biz since you were last in? Have you seen or experienced any effects of current harder times of the biz?
Since returning it has been up and down with the amount of scenes I have shot. Dec/Jan were incredibly slow. Slower than I remember it ever being before. I think the shooting has slowed down. I would like to see an average of 2shoot/week... or on average 6/month. I think now it being end of Feb it is picking back up. I would love to be doing more features, but we will just have to wait and see. In my personal opinion which I have stated before, I have noticed an influx of girls, and they arent as strikingly attractive as they used to be. I am not naming names or being jealous/judgmental/ect its just my opinion. I cant complain really, I am glad I was able to come back and was warmly welcomed. But to sum it up, I do wish I was working more consistently like in the past. So I can start saving again for school. I dont see myself leaving the biz once I start in the fall. ^I agree with you about how the current new crop of porngirls aren't as pretty as they used to be overall. I think the sexual acts a new girl is willing to do is probably more important than looks for studios/directors these days. Or perhaps since these girls are aren't as goodlooking they must start out doing more extreme stuff earlier to increase their demand. There doesn't seem to be many new girls so strikingly pretty/hot that they can get away with doing less. With the newer girls it also seems like their "starpower" doesn't last that long either. But I guess I can understand why things are the way they are. With less porn being shot, perhaps getting paid less than before and some of the craziness from last year the really hot girls can make more money doing other things.

I think its a mix between agengies pushing girls, the girls that can actually do decent with scripts, they are realativly attractive, and they have earned some kinda "stardom". I cant say one agency over the other gets more calls for "big butt girls" or feature type girls. La Direct would be an exception bc a shit ton of popular girls are with him.However, alot of those toptier girls have woke up and smelled the roses and left that agency for others, namely 101modeling(whom I am with). Its ran efficiently but with out the main agent being overbearing and mean like Derick(for the record, I didnt have HUGE issues with him when I was there, but have heard enough to know). Anyways, your question about seeing some girls plastered everywhere... This is my opinion so understand this first and foremost. I dont know how all girls get to be"favorites" of companies. But I also and not dumb pleanty of girls do sleep with directors. I had a friend who when she dated a couple of directors guess whos movies she was always casted for? Some girls work that angle some dont... I dont think these girls are offering "bargin prices", I lower my rate at times, but thats rare and normally bc thats all the money they have in the budget and some girls refuse to budge...
