Newbie here, whats a good first buy?

For awhile I've wanted to buy one, but due to the enormous selection, and just not getting around to it, I never have. I've been reading reviews, and looking into a few stars I like. Mainly devon, devon, devon, and oh yes...DEVON! My assumption up until reading astroknights post on da porno studios(great job man!) was that viv's platinum line of dvd's wa da cream of the crop, instead it's a creamload of problems, false advertising, cutbacks and loads of pointless extras. Sad, since devon is under contract with vivid. A few dvd's I am looking at are Ultimate Devon, Femme 2 Evil Angels Flesh Hunter and Space Invaderz. Cou;dnt find any reviews for Ultimate devon, it SOUNDS like it's exactly what I;m looking for, ALL DEVON, and her best scenes. Perfect....right? Anybody have this movie, is it worth it? Price is of no object to me, and I am looking for something with excellent picture quality, as well as sound that has the voices in sync with the actors lips moving(ive heard some dvds sound is delayed a few seconds...terrible) As well as having some nice hot blondes, and nothing super extreme. What is everybodies favourites? What's the best dvd in your opinion? Im gonna buy a few, I just want to be real sure in my purchases befre I buy. Any reccomendations for a devon fan like me? MLyons Senior Member 1617 Posts 8/02	Posted - Oct 1 2002 : 12:57PM Toms Video, You sound a might less jaded than many of us who post on ADT have become--and that's something to be respected! :) If you like Devon--I mean if you REALLY like Devon, and if you're intrigued by the Virtual Sex genre, then I would definitely agree with Gold Members suggestion of Virtual Sex with Devon. The problem with virtual sex titles is that they are very limited in scope and very specialized in genre. But if that intrigues you, the Devon title is a very good one. Many of us here don't like Vivid for a couple reasons. 1.) is that although they employ beautiful girls, the girls don't really show much interest in performance. Many times, it's very unerotic sex. 2.) Vivid's past DVDs have had serious problems. One of the most pronounced of which is their handling of "multiple angles". More recent releases have been better, but in the past, they've really misrepresented this aspect of their discs and it's resulted in video that doesn't match with sound, like you mentioned. If you're looking for really good _DVDs_ I would recommend against Vivid, but that's not to say the Vivid hasn't produced the occasional diamond in the rough as far as less extreme feature sex goes. If you're interested in my take of some good Vivid releases (despite the DVD authoring problems) here are a couple suggestions. Bad Wives Bobby Sox (Some extremely hot blondes engaged in some surprisingly erotic sex in this one, but again, a badly done DVD) Debbie Does New Orleans (Some of the sex is on the harder side in this one, but it features the beautiful Sky). I think my tastes are too different, and I'm a bit too jaded to recommend too much more Vivid stuff. Goldmember gave some great non-Vivid suggestions though. At the risk of presuming too much about your tastes, be careful with Evil Angel and Jules Jordan at this point. Don't get me wrong, Evil Angel and Jules produce some of the best sex out there, hands down, but take your time with it. Enjoy the softer side of today's porn if that's what your interested in. There's some excellent stuff still out there for people who aren't ready for the more extreme stuff. You see jsut because I'v never had a dvd before, don't mean I;ve never watched porno. Hell I've watched a little more than the occasional flick since I was 8-9 years old. Virtual sex is not something I would be into, and I don't feel spedning my cash on that sort of genre would be a wise choice. My question still stands though, has anyone seen, or own/ed Ultimate Devon? Sounds like its jsut for me. Ill chec out some of those titles goldmember listed, but I am still interested in what I've read about Femme 2, flesh hunters 1 & 2 as well as space invaderz. And in the future, since I am indeed a hip hop fan and stroker alike, I would look at getting the snoop dogg video. Is it any good? Once again, thanks everyone. [Link]

Now personally, I have enjoyed the Jules movies very much, but from your own statement you might want to ease yourself towards them. Also, sorry but I haven't seen the Ultimate Devon movie. Pandora Bazaar's also been doing very well with the few releases I've seen from them. For cheaper releases, Wildlife has been putting some nice effort into their DVDs, which can normally be found for around $12 as compared to $20+ for the others. [Link]

If it meant getting the highest quality, with good looking performers that BOTh enjoy doing the scene, as compared to empty or dissapointed looks on chicks faces. As well as a lengthy(2 hours minimum) dvd then I would pay 100$. Im NOT looking to skimp on the buck and get something moderate, that is a waste to me. Currently these are my choices... - Space invaderz - Flesh Hunters 1 & 2 - Femme 2(this says all girl action yet the review I read discribes lots of straight sex and devon is in this is well, this isn't a chciks only flick, is it?) - Ultimate Devon - Deep inside Devon I'm still lookin, but those are my primary choices. Whats your favourite studio? So far from what i've read everybody likes evil angel, also the reviews are always good, so they are soundin like a prime choice at the moment. [Link]

I remember when I first got my dvd player about 5 years ago (when the first came out) and I went into my local AOV and looked at their gloreous 10 disc selecting and plunked down a good $70 for Sex Show, starring Christy Canyon... Call it virgin badluck .. a little time after that after looking for porn online I noticed that I was getting ripped off by the local "service".. and now more local stores are even higher because items are "sticked" in canada .. meaning they are approved for sale here, and now are also sometimes cut.. What A Deal! Get a Credit Card and shop online ... stick Canadian if you can, to avoid US customs... [Link]
Goldmember Member 518 Posts 7/02	Posted - Oct 1 2002 : 7:30PM I spend about two thirds of my time in Canada these days, so I understand how hard it is to find reasonable in-store prices or decent DVD selection. However www.dv-depot.com (as suggested by Canadian Beaver), is a much better way to go. In the long run you are probably better of getting a credit card to shop online, but there are a few reasonable places to purchase porn in-store that I have come across over the years. Most of the places I am familiar with are in Toronto, but I get the impression you might be out in B.C. let me know if you want info on some stores. I love Devon, but the only comp of hers I have seen is Vivid's Young Devon. It was good, there were a lot of Devon scenes, and one great Devon scene on the DVD as I remeber. You might be better off with Deep Inside Devon or Ultimate Devon, but after having owned Young Devon, I wished I had spent my money on Virtual Sex with Devon. I am not even a big fan of the series, but she does give a nice performance. It may not be as much Devon as you will see on a comp DVD, but it may well be higher quality Devon. It will certainly have better sound and image quality than a Vivid DVD. That said I would highly recommend you give some of the Private titles a try, maybe try one of their comps they are among the best out there. "Odyssey 2001" - Private's best of the year / 2 hours 50min / a great way to see what the studio has to offer or "The Private life of" Series - Since you like hot blondes take your pick of: Silvia Saint, Monique Covet, Nikki Anderson, Cassandra Wild, Sophie Evans and soon Claudia Ricci / ALL OF THESE DVD ARE DOUBLE DVD SETS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE / they are jammed packed with extras and are possibly the best bang for the buck out there even if money is no object [Link]

Sorry but that dvd doesnt seem like the one. I think Im gonna get ultimate devon and see what its about. But I hard pressed for a choice between ultimate devon and deep inside devon. Which ones better, since there aint no reviews any body know anything about them? Mainly the actual feature length, and # of scenes. I will give those PRIVATE ones a looker for sure. And goldmember, must be telepathic or something, smack dab on the ass, I do live in BC. I have checked out my local toms videos, red hot vid's and AOV's. Shit, I was supposed to call the dude back and talk to the manager in order to see about special ordering some dvds. But whats sum good stores, I want to buy soon, I will get a credit card but maybe not for a month. I want something SOON, so whats a good store to buy one at until i get my CC? [Link]

The first scene sounds like the only good one, while the others are mostly oral, and the other fuck scene is SHORT. So one good sex scene, one oral scene, short sex scene, LENGTHY BULLSHIT RUB DOWN with baby oil and tit fucking. Sorry but I ain't buyin a dvd for ONE SCENE. If you have not seen "Devon The Lost Footage" I still suggest you at least rent it. However if you have loved her past performances with Vivid then there is no reason you wouldn't love Deep Inside Devon or Young Devon You might consider taking a look at her digital playground titles liike "Stripped" and the upcoming "Rush" [Link]
