I'm thinking about attending Adultcon in Los Angeles in March, is this a good event to attend for a fan or is there another event someone could recommend for a fan? [Link]

Vegas is a 24/7 commitment with almost zero downtime, and also expensive. I spent my first 25 years in Florida, and other than seeing my parents and hanging out in the woods, I would never spend money to go there for a porn convention. I might go for ArtBasel in Miami sometime. But, basically, Florida sucks ass. I'd be VERY interested in going to the Barcelona or Berlin shows. Esp. since I have a place to stay in Berlin. [Link]

We only have 2 airlines in this country. And Jan 23rd we Canadians need a passport to fly to the USA, watch for the influx of border city Canucks driving across the border to fly in the USA seen as passports are not needed for land crossings until June 2009 [Link]

Depending on how you do the LA show, your drinking and dining options are a little more varied. You are not captive inside giant entertainment hotel complexes where every sandwich costs $20. [Link]

I also go to the Venus show in Paris, not much chance of me going to Barcelona, it's 2 weeks before Berlin and it is more of a party show than a business show. It's more of a question of whether I can free up enough vacation time. Barcelona (Oct 3-8), featuring live sex shows and fan participation, is definitely the better show for the fan. Berlin (Oct 18-21) is better for hanging out with friends. Looks like Venus Paris is canceled this year. [Link]

Dates: Brussels: 1-4 Februari (the original one) Brussels: 3-4 March (the spinoff) Budapest: 21-23 September Barcelona: 3-7 October Berlin: 18-21 October Prague: 25-28 October London 16-18 November And there are a bunch of internet/webmaster events, but I don't have all those dates and most of them are not open to the general public. Click to expand Skronker - you got that backwards baby....LOL You can eat well and get around easily in Vegas for way less than you can in LA. Thing is, you have to go outside of the show hall. But when the LA Convention Center wants $3 for a slice of microwave pizza, 2 bucks for a hot dog and a beer in Vegas is a great way to save on meals. Check out http://www.tod-hunter.net/vegastips.html, and never forget to stop at your HOTEL cafe for late night specials and breakfast buffets. I'd skip the Bellagio, unless you want to spend $35 bucks for breakfast, but you could make that a "Sunday after the night before" treat. Would have to plan a year ahead and also depends on being able to get my vacation week that time. Cheaper and easier to do Vegas for a weekend for me living in Toronto, way better package deals for hotel and airfare for Vegas. Besides I would want someone to go with and there is the huge sticking point..no one I know would ever go or be able to afford it...is the difference between being single like me and married with families like the rest of the friends I have. I paid about 420 for mine for 5 travel days in 4 "countries" but reservations for train seats are hidden fees that add on to the price. I had three weeks though to travel. It depends on what you want to do. I traveled easily, met up with great strangers, and had a good time. Hostels cost about 20-30 dollars a night for a bed. [Link]

TRain can be great if you have the time and also if you've never been to Europe, lot of good sights to see out the window and people to meet in transit, but it's also more work getting in and out and making connections in several unfamiliar languages ... I love it myself, but am pretty good at reading French, Italian and Spanish (not so much speaking). I saw my first "porno" in Greece: One of the "Emmanuelle" movies, softcore but I felt dirty!
