Getting to the point where you get a Buttwoman title in the first place makes you a statistical outlier in terms of length in the industry. If you've reached the level of popularity to be named the next Buttwoman (or any other EA Superstar September title, for that matter), you're probably popular enough that you're going to be around for at least another year or two. As a matter of fact, they've been doing this (Superstar September) for, what, 3 or 4 years, and only one of the girls actually stopped performing within a year of filming hers, and that was because she was pregnant and not because she retired. If they switch the title to another performer, it'll be because they think that performer will sell better than another movie featuring the same performer, not because the current one isn't around to shoot. Getting a new star to take the role of Buttwoman is a smaller gamble because if she is just starting then she hasn't shot too many scenes and that means more people want to see her have sex on film but by the time she has been in porn for a year then the number of people interested gets smaller and even if it doesn't then what is the chance that the girl is still interested in doing porn? As much as I think that many girls would love to do porn for many years. Most of them come to realise that there are simply not enough porn being shot to make porn a viable method for earning a living. [Link]

Jada Stevens (2012) has been around since at least 2008 (how old her ADT thread is). Kelly Devine (2011) had been around since 2007 (IAFD). You have to go back to Alexis Texas' first Buttwoman in 2008 and Brianna Love in 2007 to find them picking a relatively new girl for Buttwoman, and even both of those girls had been around for over a year before they got the role (about a year and a half for Alexis, about 2 years for Brianna, I think). I actually don't doubt that this year will probably buck that trend as the most likely candidates are women that have only been around a couple years (or less), but the recent trend isn't actually to pick newer girls, it's to pick ones that have been around for a while.
