Many think the reason Nina took such a downward spiral in her career over the past years is because of her husband of a few years now Ira Levine. I disagree with this thought. The book they worked on together tanked badly and no one will question that Nina does have some knowledge on the topic of "sex" but the book didn't sell because it's boring! Nina was trained as a nurse in real life but this doesn't give her the ability to author a book on "sex". Nina and Ira seem to think of themselves as the Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins of the sex industry. The only problem is that neither couple has much of a career any longer. Again I don't blame Levine for Nina's tanked career. The man found love and no one can fault him for that. He did indeed lead Nina further down the path into BDSM and her appearance went from Cali girl to pale goth wanna be teacher rather quickly after she and Ira hooked up for good. How about you spend some time here at ADT saying some nice things before trying to convince us all that one of the most beloved porn stars of all time is going down the tubes. You also provided no evidence whatsoever for this "tanking" you claim she's doing. Here's some advice for you: don't continue your post on the demise of Nina Hartley later (BTW, "demise" of a person means that they're dead - and Nina's still alive and well). Also, threads about particular stars go in the "Star Crossed" forum, not "The Porn Pool"; but given what you've come up with so far, I'd recommend maybe you just float around for a while and post comments in other threads, and get a feel for how things go around here, before starting another thread of your own.
