But there is a new release from Ninn Worx called "Fetish The Dream Scape" and I'm a fan of Nicole Sheridan. This title was directed by somone called Laurent Sky. I'm not familiar with this director but what worries me is that it was produced by...Michael Ninn. My question for those familiar with this title: How much influence did Ninn have in making this flick? Is it just typical slow-motioned, arsty-farsty bullshit like all of Ninn's titles?? Personally I don't have a problem with Ninn's style and find it quite enjoyable from time to time. So here is the brilliance of this DVD package, they may have found a way to satisfy us both. As you can see on the back cover image you have posted there is an "Artcore" version & a "Hardcore" version. As I understand it the artcore version is the "arsty-farsty bullshit" version, but the second disc has a hardcore version with a different edit that is meant to appeal to fan of the more straightforward gonzo style sex. I am not 100% sure of this, but that is certainly the impression I have been given. Personally I can't wait to get my hands on this disc, plus I think they are really on to something over there at Ninn Worx with the dual edits. [Link]

To that effect I take my hat off to him and give him credit where it is due. It is obvious that the man is extremely talented. Despite how small my role was, (and how skinny I used to be) it was an honor and privilege to be part of his movie “Perfect”. If Mr. Ninn called me tomorrow to work for him I wouldn’t hesitate to jump at the opportunity. I enjoy being part of any intellectual and high quality endeavor. But…. (And you knew there would be a “but”) I question how Michael Ninn’s style of movie making fits into porn. For me, and I am certain most of the porn viewing consumers, I find am unable to jerk off to his videos. When I watch them with Kelly, we don’t end up fucking part way into the movie. In fact when the movie is over we go to sleep. What we do get from it is entertainment of an alternative nature. For us it is something akin to watching an independent or artistic and surreal film. Regardless of how hot the scene is, I don’t get a woody and Kelly is busy making popcorn. To that extent, in our household when we want to watch porn it is for the reason of “getting off”. We don’t mind a simple plot or basic setup and it shouldn’t over-shadow the fucking. Kelly and I haven’t seen “Fetish The Dream Scape" and doubt that we ever will. Unless of course, it becomes available in our local Block Buster store. After all, when we go to Block Buster we aren’t looking for a catalyst to sex, just some entertainment. When it comes to going to the adult video store, we are there to get something that shows hot women acting like trashy whores. And in case if anyone is wondering, Kelly goes straight to the Anal section and looks for anything with Double A. This is just my two cents worth of an opinion. Hamilton Steele [Link]

This isn't Shakespere, it's fuckin' porn and I just wanna see hot women having sex. If I want to see "art" then I'll go to a museum. I was hoping to hear that this movie was not shot in Ninn-like fashion. Hey I'm glad I asked though. Looks like I'll be saving my money. Click to expand I'm not putting down Mr. Ninn's work and I will be the first one to say I like it. I just don't think modern adult porn is the proper venue for it. In fact I would go as far to say that Michael Ninn's work is wasted and under appreciated in our industry. I watch it to be entertained, not aroused. As for what I based my previous comment on... I look at how much of the other type of porn is available and sold. With that said, it becomes a simple conclusion to arrive at... A large portion, if not the majority of the porn consumers desire a certain type of stimuli. Not because I don't think he's talented... he is. But because I can't get off with edits happening every 5 seconds or so (think MTV). However, I don't believe for a moment that everyone shares this opinion... he's WAY too popular for that. Anyway, after reading that review that was referenced, I am extremely intrigued by this movie. Maybe, as GM said, this could be a best of both worlds scenario. I certainly hope so. However I must admit it does bother me when people assume that everyone else must feel the same way about him. Hamilton Steele, your personal opinion is completely valid, as well as the fact there there are a number of porn fans that can't get off to a Ninn flick. No offense Hamilton, but to suggest that "most" people can't get off to a Ninn film is ridiculous. I would bet you my last dollar, that if you randomly grabed ten guys who walked out of a porn shop, let them choose a scene from "New Wave Hookers 5" 9 of the 10 would have no problem finding something to get themselves off. How many Ninn films have you actually seen? Do you have any idea just how many titles he has sold? What do you think all of those people are doing when they watch his films if their not getting off? "I just don't think modern adult porn is the proper venue for it." What could, possibly be a better venue? Last I checked he was still making porn. I might suggest that there is more than enough room in the porn landscape for a Michael Ninn. You are aware that there is the odd messy blow job in your average Ninn film right? Click to expand I actually talked to Laurent about Fetish and sequel he's currently making. And basically his take on it was that there is more to porn than just jerking off. He's trying to make a film that people just appreciate because its strange and beautiful. Not just something you can jerk off to. For me watching Fetish was like watching a NIN video, or lookign through a book of art by H.R. Giger. Not so sexual, just a appreciation of... something. Artistry I guess. R [Link]
