I was watching some old Japanese porn videos, and it struck me as odd how over there all their videos are usually dedicated to a single girl. It's a whole movie with 4-5 scenes, and just 1 girl.
So I was thinking, what do you prefer? Having a variety of girls in one flick, or just an entire video dedicated to your favourite girl?
There are advantages to both I suppose. The "American" style you could end up viewing someone you wasn't familiar with, but end up liking and have a new girl to look out for. But with the Japanese style, having several different scenes of a girl you know you definitely enjoy in one movie means there's gonna always be at least one scene you'll like.

I just wish that US companies would do more "Best of" compilations of US girls.
As one of the apparently few people that still buys a ton of dvds each year, I don't like the fact that there will regularly be two or three scenes on each dvd that I will have no interest in viewing - or that I will view only once. It just means that I am much more selective in the dvds that I buy - I need to be assured that each scene of the girl I want to see will be a winner if she is only going to have one scene in the dvds that I want to buy. At least with compilations, a bad scene here or there is not a complete waste of the purchase price of the dvd.

Well instead of companies making comps of stars, just why not have them film 5 different scenes for one movie. Better for the fans as they have all new scenes from one of their favorite starlets and the companies have a new movie. A win all situation for everyone.

I do like the JAV style of video, but it has nothing to do with how many girls are featured in a movie. They use different positions a lot, they go for sensual instead of extreme, the filming style, i mean, just everything is different.
I don't really have a preference on what number of girls should be featured.
Also, they may have only one girl, but they also may have only one, two or three scenes, all very long with a lengthy intro, then some teases, then some REALLY long foreplay, etc. So you won't have as many scenes as you'd have in a 'best of' porn valley feature.
