I tried it a couple times, but I found it easier to relax and perform when I could actually respond to feeling something rather than being numb. I know that a couple guys I have talked to report that if their partner uses an anal numbing creme their penis also gets numb, and that's not such a good thing. [Link]

Click to expand This is very true. My gf and I actually purchased a product called 'China anal balm' which has a high benzocaine content just to try it out. I can confirm that even after waiting several minutes for it to take affect the preparation was still sufficiently potent to numb me impotence (not permanently I hasten to add). In actual fact these products are pretty stupid. Anal sex is not supposed to hurt and if it is hurting then that pain is telling you something: you should listen, not mask it. I used Orajel as a child and when I had a tooth complaint a couple of years ago I visited the chemist and attempted to purchase a tube. If you numb your ass to have sex you could be damaging yourself and not realize it until it's too late. I'd hate to go to the Doc and have to admit that not only did I have anal but I had used OralGel so I didn't realize it was ripping my ass and now I couldn't have a normal bowel movement. [Link]
