| Mythsong Member 306 Posts 8/02 |  Posted - May 23 2003 : 10:47AMI'm curious about the Midas Touch 8000 (or Feather Touch as they call it - although I have no idea why since the name on the package is clear as day and doesn't mention "Feather" at all...) personal shaver. Apparently this is one of the first electric shavers designed specifically for pubic hair, so as not to cause any "grabbing" or cuts. The mesh is so fine that it can be used anywhere at all "down there", and, supposedly, gives an incredibly smooth shave. While some of that might just be PR hype, I did read some reviews from "real" people in discussion groups that were also favourable. So far I've just been trimming with scissors, but this sounds like it could be a good thing. I still need to practice with things a bit more, and I plan on writing a review of this shortly, but let me just say that it's fantastic. Absolutely no nicks (bad vibrations <grin>) or anything else commonly associated with razors / electric shavers. In particular, I ended up using my regular electric shaver on part of my stomach (in order to not end up with a strange dividing line of hair). Well, it's now two days later and my stomach is irritated (in parts) and covered in those small red bumps you commonly get from shaving. However, on all of the skin surface on which I used the Femini/Feather Touch instead, there is absolutely no irritation. [Link] |
