I see today that a review I wrote over a year ago, for 'Rocco Invades Poland' has reappeared on the most read reviews list, and the movie has appeared again on the Price Search list too.
Is this a glitch, or is the review getting more hits again? Any reason this might be happening?
The movie's came out in Oct. 2003, so I figured that people by now would have long lost interest in it, and the review I wrote of it. If I were to review the movie again, I would write something quite different.
These things happen every once in a while when one of the major search engine's adjusts their search algorithms. This review must be near the top of the list for a popular search term.
Do you mean an ADT search engine, or something like Google? Like, is there a sudden surge of people interested in Polish pornography, or something?
Yesterday when I asked this question, this Rocco movie was number two on the 'Most Popular Reviews' list. Today it's number one. I guess when people see a movie show up on this list, it generates even more people clicking on the title to find out about it, which keeps the movie on the list even longer.
Or, maybe people just like the sound of the title.
I mean a search engine like Google or Yahoo. The most common cause of a review shooting up like this is due to a reindex for one of the image searching sites. (google images search or yahoo) Reviews with screenshots often get indexed by these image search sites. The images get associated with some of the text appearing near the images in the review. I just searched for "deep throat" in Google Images and there's some stuff from one of Saki's reviews at the top of the second page.
I'll look into what's causing the Rocco one to be at the top of the list.
The two reviews of this movie have been read a total of 2257 times since midnight last night. Most of the traffic is coming from Google, some of it from Google.pl. I should know more about the search terms after the stats program runs tonight.
The requests are fairly evenly distributed between the two reviews.
Out of curiousity, I went and did a search on Google.pl (Polish google) for 'Rocco Invades Poland'. I found a message board of some sort, where there's been a three page long discussion of this movie running in the past 2 weeks. Not that I can read Polish, but every couple of posts you see the title of the movie.
I guess if porn fans in Poland are looking for a Rocco movie, this would be at the top of their list.
Maybe they're not sure who Rocco is and they are trying to figure out how to defend themselves from Invasion. Don't forget, Poland is one of the countries helping in Iraq (didn't Bush keep telling us that during the debates?).
With their military in Iraq, maybe they are not sure what to do.
You didn't write anything about Rocco having a big "weapon", did you?
No, the guys on this forum know who Rocco is. They're repeating his name over and over. There wasn't one instance of the word 'Iraq' in the forum. One poster asked a question that ended with the phrase 'real orgazm?'
This movie must be a Polish porn fan's dream come true.
Well, having heard many a politically incorrect joke at the expense of the fine citizens of Poland, (who have maintained their excellent reputation by supporting an oil burning bush) I chuckled out loud.
