| joi Deactivated User 396 Posts 6/17 |  Posted - Jan 15 2020 : 12:19PMwe can only search subforums but what if we want to search a word or pornstar name in a particular thread??? i think that will be a very useful feature. also, search results are displayed as thread links. we have to click that link to see what is there in that particular post. it will be so much better if they are displayed as posts. i have seen in some forums when you search they give you the option to display results as threads or posts. if we choose 'posts' the search results display part of the 'post' so it is easy to see post content right there at the search page instead of you having to click each and every search results to see it. one more thing, i am not sure if this is doable, search results contain a lot of duplicates because it also performs search on the quoted post so if a post is quoted 15 times in a thread then search result will contain all those 15 links. I"m sure it can be done but it will slow down the search feature quite a bit. It would be easier/more useful to provide a snippet of text matching the search term in the post.  [Link] |
