Sonics reply to the spontanious orgasm thread made me think about orgasms while sleeping.
Every time I come close to having one in a dream, either the dream ends or I wake up. Whats up with that?!?! Has anyone else had this happen?

Serioulsy though I've never had a wet dream, not even close. I wish I did but no luck. I rarely even have erotic dreams to begin with. On the flip side I never have nightmares either. I suspect this is unusual.

Really?! I have orgasm's in my dreams all the time. Of course I dream a lot more, and very vividly.
Go figure..?

I only had two wet dreams.
When I came..I woke up. Had my underwears full of semen. I vividly remember the first one..the second..kind of scratchy. It's been a long time. I had those dreams when I was at the age of 14-16. I am now 27.

Note: Even if it was a dream..I had ACTUAL sex just like in real life. I remember the warmth..the face..her body..the place..what I was wearing. Basically it's no different than in real life.

Men, here is a tid bit if you want to achieve a wet dream..just when you are about to fall into that deep sleep that deep trance...masturbate a bit. Think about a sexual moment. Think about a female. Masturbate. If done at the moment of falling asleep, you're in! Or, watch a porno when you are really knocked out, when your eyes are shuting up, masturbate a bit, and you can very well be there.

Impossible. I can't possibly go to sleep if I'm excited, that's just gonna wake me up.
Besides, Sonic, how do you know what you're talking about? You said yourself you've only had two and even then a long time ago....

On what do you base your assertion that you dream a lot more than us? How can you possibly know?
Of course the thing with dreams is that actually we don't remember most of what we dream. We only remember a dream if it is somehow interrupted or wake-up immediately afterwards. But even if I had a wet dream and didn't remember it, it still would leave behind ...er....evidence....evidence that I've never noticed. On the other hand I do very often wake up with erections. This last thing seems common in men from what I've heard.

DGF-I am not trying to battle with you, but may I point out that you have a very sharp tounge? Please be kind.
My -opinion- that I dream more frequently and more vividly than most people, is based on the feedback I have recieved over the years from people around me.
It is a rare occasion I wake from sleep and do not remember my dreams.

I suppose maybe I do.

Well, then I suppose you may be lucky to get so many er.... orgasms in a dream. Which makes me wonder if such orgasms are all physically real or just imagined?
Anyhow, it's sleep researchers that say we don't remember most dreams. And I suppose it's probably true because when I think about when I do remember a dream often it's when I was interrupted in sleep. The only thing is that we couldn't be really sure about it because if we didn't remember a dream we'd have no way of knowing whether we actually dreamed or not.
But probably the best dreams would be a lucid dream. That's when you're in a dream and are fully aware that you're dreaming, thus it is like a virtual reality where you can do anything with no consequences. I've only had two of those and even then a long time ago.

That is an interesting thought, I honestly don't know. I wake up wet like I've had an orgasm, and it feels real as I am dreaming. But time in dreams is so odd, you know how it feels like hours and it's been minutes? I wonder if feelings and actions are the same?
I cannot be sure. I suppose it also depends on how you view dream space, and if that is a type of reality as well.
A lucid dream would be a treat, I have never been able to achive that.

I have very vivid sex dreams all the time. I get really frustrated in them because I can't cum. It feels so real! I can recall several dreams where I try and try and try to cum, but can't. I think it's my body making sure I don't mess myself. Kind of like having a dream about taking a pee. In the dream, I'm standing in the bathroom, trying to go.... then I wake up running to the bathroom!
When I was 11, 12, 13... I remember having several wet dreams. I think it was the body's way to relieve pressure from the dam. I'd probably still get them today if I wasn't having sex. Ever go for a long period without any sex? Pressure starts to build down there... you gotta release it at some point!

I'd think it depends on the person. There are people that when they dream, they physically act out the dream. For example, some people will talk in the dream and also talk in real-life, they might move in the dream and also move in real-life. Some people even get up in a dream and walk and eat and all. I'd think these people are most likely to have a real as opposed to imaginary orgasm. While there are people who dream stuff but don't physically act them out. Probably these have imaginary orgasms.
I guess all you could do is look for the physical evidence of an orgasm if possible right?
"A lucid dream would be a treat, I have never been able to achive that."
Yeah, I only had two and have no idea on how to cause them. In one of them someway somehow in the dream I realized I was in a dream. I don't know how I was able to do that but somehow I did it. And then my thought was "Wow, this is cool I can do whatever I want without consequences". What is more amazing is that I didn't wake up immediately after realizing I was dreaming.
This also reminds me that once I had a dream within a dream like with Freddy Kruger except it wasn't a nightmare. I was dreaming and woke up, and it turns out that then I woke up for real so I had a dream within a dream.
"When I was 11, 12, 13... I remember having several wet dreams. I think it was the body's way to relieve pressure from the dam. I'd probably still get them today if I wasn't having sex. "
Yes, it's my understanding that if the male genitals don't release for a long period of time, they will release it themselves. Often this is done by means of a wet dream. That's because the semen has a sort of expiration date and has to be purged. So if for some reason you don't ejecaulate then the body will do it by itself.
But what is interesting in my case is that I didn't masturbate until I was almost 13 yet I never had a wet dream before that. And I can say for sure I was developed way before I was 13 but even then I didn't have a wet dream. Of course it's possible I did but just don't remember. I suppose in my case my body disposed of it by absorbing it into the body and disposing of it in the form of urine which is another natural method to dispose of it.
