Sounds like you have a technical problem. I'm moving your post to Tech Talk. I'm sure you'll get an answer.

What computer are you using? There are many picture editing software programs available, with them you'll be able to resize your pics, but it all depends on your platform...

Mac, Linux, Windows (98, XP? etc...)???

Download Paintshop Pro then or one of those no frills versions of Photoshop (LE -light edition- or the like) that are given away with scanners or colour printers.

thanks for the help. ...I was able to resize a picture (Bitmap Image) ..I Open a File, I right clicked on the picture., click on Quick View, then I click on Open File for Editing. From there it was easy to resize the picture. ...But I can't seem to go the same route with other pictures (JPEG images) ...when I right click on those pictures I don't get Quick View...I click on OPEN but I get something totally different. any ideas?

damn, I thought I got it but I get this in Paint: C:\My Documents\My Pictures\022jpg ..Paint can't read this file. This is not a valid bitmap file, or it's format is not currently supported. ...any ideas how I can fix this? thanks so much!

MS Paint only deals with bmp files. You'll need to get something like paint shop pro or photoshop to crop other image formats.

Or if you want something free, try here

must be a problem with the old version of Paint (the one with Windows98) because the Paint with WinXP can open jpg, png, bmp, gif, tif...
