I don't like his work as a director (too glossy) but when he just puts the camera on a tripod and fucks a girl's brains out himself (in Private Castings and Superfuckers) there is no-one better (not even Rocco). And the interviews leading up to the 'seduction' are really fascinating. When I first saw Woodman I thought 'this must be faked', because I thought there was no way these shy innocent girls would give up their rosebuds to be plundered, but having seen more of them I have to conclude they must be (mainly) genuine, because they couldn't possibly act well enough to be fakes. I usually prefer the guys to be good matches for the girls - young, slim, good-looking, etc - so I wouldn't normally want to watch a stocky, hairy, balding Frenchman doing the business, but Woodman is an exception to all the rules. I'm making some notes on the Private Castings vids I've seen (mainly from #30 onwards) which I could post here, but only if people show some interest. [Link] |

Yes, Pierre is physically kinda off putting, but I really think he does a grand job - the initiation scene is the top illicit thrill in any edition of Castings. I never used to be a fan, and I wouldn't exactly say I am today, but I am coming around. (You are perhaps following Woodman's career with the same interest I am.) But I must confess that gonzo/wall-to-wall, or reality-sex, is not erotic to me anyway, which of course puts me in a very tiny minority here. The appeal Woodman has to many of the girls is as a sexual sophisticate, which he truly is, and his role of initiating virgins seems quite appropriate to me. (I wonder if this over-used service to young females has made him impotent by now.) I very much admire Woodman for his sexual expertise but only as this contributes to his talent as a director. It's funny how Pierre used to only call them a slut in the heat of the moment, but more recently he calls them it to their face which suggests his sexual sophistication is slowly but surely becoming jaded. I have no proof for this, it's just the way his attitude seems to have changed over time, which is perhaps no surprise when one girl follows another and sex is so readily available.
