They cut the show off after the Best Video award, and didn't even show Best Film, Best Director Film, or Best Actor Film. It wasn't for time either. The program ended 8 mins early. Plus, they cut away for their little "commercials", which are nothing but teasers for other shows. They run these teasers a million times a day, so it was hardly necessary to cut into the program. Lastly, about a third of the program consisted of musical numbers and a stand up comic. I watch the show to see performers getting awards. I can watch MTV and HBO for that other crap. On a weird note, Sean Michaels screwed up and read the wrong name (Savana Samson) for Best Actress Film, which went to Jenna Jameson. Savanna even came out in nothing but a towel, only to be told of the error. It was cringe inducing. [Link] |
