There are Latina actresses that don't work with black men, and I believe I've seen one black actress who had something like "no black men" listed on her dance card. That was good for a chuckle. I haven't heard of any actresses not working with whites, or other races.

I would be careful with labeling it "bias". It may just be personal preference, and not much more to it. I have my preferences myself, not that I would exclude any race, far from it, but I have my preferences about what I like about a girl's appearance.

Now, if I was a porn actor, I would not be able to choose who to get to bed with in each case, and then it could make sense to have some general requirements in line with my own preferences. I can understand a girl's decision to have requirements like this, without labeling her as anything...

Well if one's "preference" is based on race then generally speaking it's rooted in racial bias. And as was mentioned in another thread they only have this ridiculous "preference" because they can get away with it.

If I were hiring for a job or renting an apartment I wonder how long I could use the term " personal preference" before the long arm of the law would come down on me or the NAACP would be protesting at my door. Choosing not to work with a particular person is one thing but a WHOLE race. Something is wrong here. I would not want to have sex with Opra but there is alway a Halley or Beyonce.

I can accept that argument. Race is a bigger issue that other personal characteristics, it appears. If that is the case, of course it is not right. Refusing to work with guys covered in tatoos, or guys 60+ should be equally accepted as not wanting to work with guys of a certain race. But my main focus is total freedom of choice for the girl, and I don't want to judge her if that is her requirements. Who am I to know her reasons?

I would be very picky if I rented out my apartment. I'd check on the people, and I'd probably offer a lower price to people I knew I could trust and I knew I could communicate well with. As far as I know, I have the full right to do that. Race would of course not be a factor in that. But renting out an apartment is still less personal that having sex with someone on tape.
Yep, but lots of these other requirements are also overly broad. It does not have to mean someone is racist (or whatever your mean by saying something is wrong). Some girls can afford to be picky, and they may just have overly broad requirements because they will still have lots of possibilities.

So, just to rehash. I object to labeling girls as racists because they have racial requirements. Sexuality is different from person to person, and we just have different preferences. There are probably racists in porn as well, but I have very high respect for people's preferences and I will not judge them on that alone. If I was in porn, and could afford to have requirements, I would probably have listed quite a few factors myself (not race for me though). As for girls, since the pool of guys is smaller, and lower standard, I can certainly understand that they are picky.

This thread is about being racially bias and not imposing ones preference (which is a difference) when doing a scene. You hear more of a White porn actress who won't do a scene with a Black porn actor. That don't mean that she is a racist, because she might turn around and do a lesbian scene with a Black porn actress. Also there are cases where a White porn actress who may not have done a scene with a Black porn actor in her prime but will make a comeback and may choose to do Black porn actor.

I'm not in the business but I will have to make a confession that I had a racial bias against Asian porn until I met Mika Tan at the 2007 AEE. She is about the only Asian porn actress who I can watch in videos now.

So I would like to know if there are any Black or Latina porn actress who have a racial bias.

Rarely do you see white women who discriminate against black males do scenes with black women, I mean they have to be consistent in their discrimination after all. And the women who are over the hill and decide to do those types of scenes almost always do only a handful and it's only because at that point in their careers they can no longer afford to be discriminatory unlike if they were younger.

And a mere 35 years ago (and less in certain places) in the USA there were white "preferences" in the USA for who was allowed in businesses, schools, and other public areas which was rooted in racial bias. So yes "preferences" can be based on racial discrimination.

Sure it can, and it is dangerous territory. I'm with you on all of that. But there still is personal freedom, and since it does not have to be racism, a girl should not be judged for having such a preference. We all have our preferences, and if I was to list all of mine, I could probably be labeled as extremely picky or even weird. But it's just how I am and I think people should respect that.

However, if I ever showed any kind of disapproval or negative behavior towards individuals based on their looks, I would deserve critisism for offending them in person.

This is a topic that seems to come up every year or so in the form of different questions.

As a student of the porn biz for many years, and having gotten to know many of the girls that pass through the biz, my response is that if a girl won't work with a certain race (usually black men) it usually falls into one of three reasons.

1. Some girls are racially bias, and many of these racists don't fit the stereotype of coming from a southern state of the USA. I could name a few names, but I don't want to get into a pissing match with individual performers. They know who they are, and so do most of the other performers in the biz.
2. There are many girls, who are simply selective in "who" they will work with, and have a short list of guys, none of whom are black. The list is often based on who the girl find "attractive" and that can be rooted in the type of guys they grew up with, or, on the downside black guys are left off the list because people in the (porn girls) community looked down on black men. My observation is the longer the porn girl stays in the biz, the more likely it is that she will broaden her viewpoint, and selectively work with different types of male performers.
3. There is a very large number of girls who have boyfriends or husbands (inside or outside the biz) who tell them they can't "handle" her working with a black performer. So she doesn't. Another variation on this is that many girls are told, when they come into the biz, that working with Black Men may "limit" them in getting a contract or becoming one of the top two or three highest paid girls in the biz. Usually people making this argument point to Jenna Jameson and Tera Patrick as examples, and up-and-comers like Jesse Jane and Stormy. These girls may eventually do IR scenes if they split with the boyfriend or the company they work for (can you say Vivid?) changes their policy towards IR sex. I think it a good thing when it's the girl's decision, but consider it "pressure" when the company demands the girls do IR just so it can make more money.

Bottom line: race and sex in the USA is still very confusing, and is in a constant state of change as more and more mainstream celebrities (Heidi Klum, Jessica Alba, Britney Spears, Jessica Biel) marry or publicly date black men. Strangely, IR sex seems to be the one aspect of sexual exploration that the porn industry is behind the mainstream in accepting.

Yep, I think it may actually be as simple as that in many cases. After all, most girls in the biz are in fact white. Don't forget that very obvious fact. We're still at a point where it just is considered more normal to be sexually/romantically interested in someone who look more like yourself or belong to the same cultural/ethnic group. It is founded in something that is so fundamental as how a person looks, and it will probably never go away entirely, although it is gradually becoming less of a factor.
I didn't even know about them doing that, but that is probably a good sign. (Although at least Britney seems unable to find good men wherever she looks for them).

You should realize that all three reasons you listed are fundamentally rooted in racial bias.

can y'all name a 'white' porn actress who won't work with 'white' guys?

you certainly find a lot of white female/black male on amateur porn specialty websites. But I remember a star from the mid 90s named Abby Gale who appeared in Bootylicious(w/Dev Weed) and other ir themes. Her only white partnering that I saw was a four way with Kira, Peter North, ??Dave Hardman. She had gone on one of those talk shows (? Jerry Springer, Maury, Geraldo(his old show) and said she was a former policewoman with kids to feed.

Based on the comments about T. Patrick and J. Jameson not working with Black porn actors, I wonder do they have a short list of White porn actors who they will work with? IMO, if this is the case then they are more concern about image, longevity and respect in industry. But then I look at actresses like Nina Hartley who have much respect in this industry. So have these industry driven requirements change?

It's important not to tangle the PC standards of socity into sexuality. The work in this case is often based on a persons sexual preferences. A person doesn't choose their sexual attractions, and everyone discriminates when it comes to what turns them on, by weight, curves, height, hair, how they smell, how they move, everything.

Porn star is the only profession where being sexually attracted to your co-workers is not only encouraged but is a necessity to perform your job well. There is a difference between finding someone unattractive and not having respect for them as a person. There are men who find women with pasty white skin more attractive than women with a dark tan. Is this a racial bias? I have no doubt that there are some women in porn with racist attitudes, but not doing IR is not absolute proof of one.

Another thread about racism in porn? Let's see, Spring must be on the horizon.
What's the point of the discussion? Let's say the hypothesis is correct. Reasonable enough. If a white woman won't work with any black men she's prejudiced, a bigot, racist, or any other appelation you want to pick. Is there an answer or remedy for this anti social behavior? A punishment? Should she be drummed out of the pristine world of pornography? What is it you hope to accomplish with this thread? I'm mystified by all the high mindedness involved with bringing this up over and over and over again. Why does anybody care so much? Take care of your ideals in your personal life. It's the only world you have any control over. Help make this a better world by being the person you want everybody else to be. Don't watch or buy videos that have performers of questionable character, but be careful who you label with what, because these are people you don't really know or understand. Stop trying to rationalize the irrational, it'll make you crazy. Lighten up.

Last time I checked most women in the industry, unless they have a degree of power and influence, don't get to only work with men they're attracted to. Many times they work with guys they have not the slightest attraction to, and as a result they have to fake interest in their scenes. So the argument that they get to only work with those men they have attraction for is a specious one indeed.

There are some Asian women who don't do IR(BM).
It seems to be only an American problem coz of the whole issue with blacks and their History.
Most white girls from Europe and even Australia really love working with black dudes. Its only a problem with American born girls who may be either White,Asian or even Latino.
Nina Mercedes is the name that comes to mind, she has ruled out ever doing IR.
jENAVEVE jOLIE would not do IR when she was married to her white husband.
I guess its mostly an American problem.

As the originator of this thread, it seems to me that it has taken on a theme of racism. That wasn't the point of this thread. If you look at my original post, this thread was created to identify any Black or Latina porn actress who has a racial bias who they work with. This thread wasn't created to identify the obvious, that there is racism in the porn industry. Posters to this thread has made this a Black/White issue. Maybe I should start another thread, "Who are the porn stars who you would consider to be a racist and won't work with Black porn actors?"

Not quite. The choice is always there, it's just a matter of limiting options. It's about what a studio wants and who wants to do it. The more that the person will do the more options for work open up. With a reputation and a following there is more flexibility in this because picking and choosing doesn't close down as many options. This applies to who a person will partner with as well as what they will do in the scene.

I didn't say it was a necessity to perform their job. I said it was a nesessity to perform their job well. Sure they can half ass their scene with whatever random penis is picked out of the crowd by the director/producer but to do a scene that leaves a holy shit that was hot impression on the viewer IMO there needs to be some kind of genuine lust for each other.

Well kbee, you may want to define what "racial bias" is, and what criteria you want to be used to define it as such, for the purposes of this thread, because otherwise you're going to get attempts by others to define it, which is part of what is happening in this thread. Do you simply mean, black or latina stars that choose not to work with other races (regardless of their reasons)? If that's the case, Mason storm is an example (although she was supposedly a lezbo in real life and was "straight-for-pay). Another more recent example is nina martinez, which is not to say that she won't do an "IR" scene in the future, but she hasn't yet.

Sometimes when pornstars appear on Howard Stern's show he'll ask them why they don't do interracial and some will reply "I'm not attracted to black men..." then Howard will ask if they're attracted to say..Ron Jeremy or name some other guy they've worked with and most of the girls will say something like "Ew! No!" then Howard will ask why they have sex with white guys they're not attracted to but not black guys. They never have a good answer when they're called on it.

You're right. No matter what answer a pornstar gives as to why they don't do interracial some people won't like the answer. While there are a few pornstars I'd like to see do interracial it's not that big a deal for me. There are so many great girls doing interracial these days as opposed to 5 to 10 years ago this type of thing really doesn't matter much today. The list of pornstars that do IR is probably longer than those who don't.

I don't think it makes you a racist if you're not attracted to another race, but it's always black guys who are target of these "preferences". I can understand why some black people would be offended.

Most white people, especially white men, can never even begin to understand how that feels. The racial history and experiences are too different.

Porn is just work. The women are supposed to be actresses. Lube is widely available, so attraction shouldn't even be an issue.

Overall, it's pointless to argue or even discuss these things. People have the right to decide who they have sex with or "work with" (in porn).

You're right. I'm black and tend to think it's messed up that a women wouldn't want to have sex with a guy just because he's black but I must admit I just have no sexual desire to have sex with a fat woman. I could and have been friends with overweight women and think many of them are nice people but have no desire to have sex with any. That may sound like a horrible thing for a plus size woman to hear but it's just a personal preference for me. As long as I'm willing to discriminate against that whole group of women I guess I have no right to judge any pornstar that wouldn't have sex with black guys.

this what I have a problem with if its just attractiveness and you are just working with the peter north types and your a white female actress then i will say its a preference, but if you have fucked ed powers, ron jeremy , max hardcore, any other fat middle aged guy that you would not sleep if itwas not for money. then why not sleep with a blk guy you were not attracted too. one word racism.

but its still the womans choice.

one of my friends is mixed jewish/panamanian. he'll fuck anything, but says he doesn't believe in marrying non white.
another one of my friends is turkish. he'll fuck anything that moves, but will only marry another muslim.
as for me, i can be friends with anyone, but i'm pretty picky when it comes to relationships. acutally, my current girl is the first white girl i've ever been with. my old school italian parents were ready to break out the champagne when they found out she wasn't black like the others before her.
hey, if you're not attracted to someone, you're not attracted to someone. i don't care how she looks for her age, i'm not into the whole milf thing, or grannies, or heavy hitters or anything like that. it bears nothing on what i may think of that person's character or personality, but in order to screw around with someone, there has to be some physical attraction, and there are some types i'm just not attracted to.

I think I read that Rocco doesn't like doing scenes with blacks girls.

If I were a pornstar I would have sex with every girl from every race, I mean I'm not really into asian girls but I would still do it because it's my job and I have to be professional.

So by being a "professional" porno person it would be your obligation to service any girl that a director/producer/company ordered you to?

I guess you are saying that porno performers should be held to a higher standard then say a lawyer or a doctor?

I don't want to have sex with Black Women.

Period.

I don't find them attractive. Nor, for the same reason, do I watch Black Porn.

I have many Black friends, including my partner on the job, and an older lady I refer to as my "Aunt Janet."

I support civil rights.

I've even done a voting registration drive in the heart of the New York City Projects.

But I won't Fuck 'em.

Does that make me a racist?

Hardly, although I'm sure there's some of you who will disagree, and try to make me out to be the bastard offspring of Strom Thurmond. Those are the real haters. Too wrapped up in their own uptight bullshit to see things for what they are.

I believe yes but then again I would work for free for all the directors just to get in so I'm not sure how professional that is ;-) All kidding aside, with professional I meant putting away your personal feelings and do the job you're hired for in order to make the money. But I think that's maybe more easy for males than females
I don't see a lawyer or doctor refusing to help anyone based on their color of their skin if that is what you mean.

Whether or not you're racist depends on why you don't find black women attractive.

Although I find it absurd that anyone can find an entire ethnic group unattractive. I fail to see how that's even possible.

Damn, putting down Beyonce, I think of all the straight men in the world only 1% would do that.

Btw, I said I'm not into in asian girls myself but yet I think Li Gong is one of the most beautiful girl in the world.

Like I said, I just don't. Doesn't do anything for me. Just like I don't like Pickled Herring or Abstract Art. That doesn't make me narrow minded, because I'm not pushing my preferences on anybody else. What makes you narrow minded is your refusal to live-and-let-live and allow me my own preferences without denegrading them.
