Greetings, all. A question. I know porn is pretty subjective, but I thought I'd toss out a request for advice.
My wife has me pick the porn...she thinks the selection process is a bit icky. My job is to guess her tastes. Here's what I've found out so far.
She hates plot driven porn. If she wan't bad acting, she'll watch Scott Baccula for free.
She hates compilations. Not wanting plot doesn't mean you don't want a little lead-in.
She's not a big fan of g-g or bj only.
She does like hot, edjy sex, without violence
Her favorites so far have been the Action-Sports-Sex and Sin-a-matic lines. Eventually, we'll run out of them, though. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for something new to watch...preferably a little higher production value. Maybe down a notch in the tatoos/piercings. Anyway. Suggestions are welcome
We probably sound like broken records here with regard to Evil Angel, but the fact is they create fantastic porn. Based on what you've said, assuming your wife isn't too averse to watching anal, and based on the stuff I know MY wife likes, I would suggest the following:
Evil Angel - Flesh Hunter (Directed by Jules Jordan) Evil Angel - Buttman's Toy Stories (Directed by John Stagliano) Evil Angel - The Voyeur Series (Directed by John Leslie)
And even though your wife claims not to like plotted porn I would really take a serious look at The Ass Collector.
My wife doesn't tend to like plotted porn either, as she doesn't tend to like the bad acting--she's interested in the sex, as anyone should be when they watch a porn movie. The ones I've suggested are certainly movies that many people wouldn't consider "couples" videos, but niether are Action Sports Sex or Sin-a-Matic. If you want extremely well shot sex with performers who really have a lot of presence and eroticism about them, in my opinion you can't go wrong with Evil Angel. These are just jumping off points though, you have to refine your tastes as a couple through experience. I'm sure others here on ADT will have other great suggestions for you.

Another series that you might take a look at is "North Pole Series". Very little plot, decent looking ladies.
Having reviewed the threads here, I shouldn't be suprised about the Evil Angel suggestion. To be honest, they sound like nice vids, but you never know until you watch one. Its been easier to spend 5-10 bucks on some Vivid Raw junk than to pony up 22.50 for something that could be just as bad. Guess I'll have to make the jump. Does anyone actually watch these things more than once? Hard to not figure out where the story's going after you've seen it.

First of all, you can always rent first. If you don't have a local place, you can rent over the internet by mail. XrentDVD is a fabulous company, and if you want to hear other opinions about them see this thread.
Second of all, of all the porn companies out there, I would say one of the ones (but not the only one) that produced videos with the most re-watchability is Evil Angel. Try renting though--if you don't like it, you're only out a few bucks. Evil Angel is expensive, but in their case, you get what you pay for. They are not the only good producer out there though, don't get me wrong.
I still think that the Shane's World/Seymore Butts series are among the most creative, original, and entertaining gonzo porn out there. That's how I got my wife into it.
why can't my wife be asking me to pick out porn?? I'm a newbie, but i'm startled to find how many of your wives are so into porn.

Myk, a couple of the recommendations here, Buttman's Toy Stories and Hell, Whores and High Heels, are among my top five favorite adult movies of all time. I've watched both DVDs multiple times. For an extremely hot and edgy (but nonviolent) female masturbation DVD, I would also suggest Girl Show 2 (coming soon from Pandora Cinema).
i have thought about rentals, but it seems like a hassel...I can barely remember where my car keys are, I'm not sure if I could remember to return a rented DVD in the mail.
Of course, I am accumulating quite a number of DVD's I'll need to dispose of eventually...

I dunno about Max...I think I saw him in a tape once where he spit int he mouth of the woman he was with. That fits into the catagory of 'things I know excite other people, but I have no idea why'. Kind of like urination. i know they're out there...I just don't get it.
thanks for all the suggestions. 2 questions, though. 1. Hell, Whores, and High Heels...I checked a review, and they said the voices were dubbed...is that true, and how distracting was it? 2. Buttman versus Seymore. They seem to cover pretty similar ground...any thought on comparing them, style wise? As a non-DVD aside, irrelevent to the topic at hand, did I hear that one of them is HIV+ and doesn't act anymore? I seem to remember that.

Oh, I lied, one more quetion. I've been ordering from FiveStarDVD, pretty happy with their prices/policies. Am I missing anything big by not going with someone else? I just found out about the kickback program, wish I'd known 6 months ago.

myk - here's my thoughts. XRentDVD is about the best with stock inventory. FiveStarDVD is the worst with keeping Evil Angel dvds in-stock. Any PRIVATE dvds directed by Tanya Hyde (i.e. Hell, Whores & High Heels) are dubbed with annoying techno music.

sorry to take things off track, but...myk, I'm curious - what made you notice it? I don't like to be 'in your face' about promoting features of our site, but I want people to know about Kickbacks which can save people so much money.
That's an easy one...I didn't know about your site 6 months ago. So I didn't know about kickbacks. Still not sure I completely understand the system, but I'm going to give it a try with my next order.
About Fivestar and the stock issues...I'm usually not in a hurry with my orders, so price is more important to me than in-house selection. I can wait a couple of weeks for a DVD or 3.
