I'm a freelance cameraman, have done a bit of erotica, and about five years ago a mate and I tried to set up our own "erotic video" company in Germany. I spent weeks listening to those who had done it and failed, weeks listening to those who had done it and got a modicum of success and weeks working out the difference. We then came up with a way of making erotica, having fun, and a profit. Then we ignored everything we'd learnt and decided to go our own way. It was a disaster at first and, by the time we sorted out what we were doing wrong, finances were in an absolutely desparate state and we only just managed to rescue ourselves by the skin of our teeth. Having learnt from our mistakes, we sold the company and now just work as "hired hands" for others. Like everything, if you're going to do something like this, you've got to do it properly. Setting up a "fake" casting is only marginally different to setting up a "real" erotica production company. So why not think about making your own "amateur" erotica? It would cost the same and you can even set it off against the tax! [Link] |
