Hi, I haven't had a chance to buy a blu-ray player yet, but how much better does porn look from a blu-ray dvd compared to a regular dvd?? I can't wait until I can afford to buy a blu-ray player and be able to start buying blu-ray porn dvds!! :-D kplb914
Honestly, I don't know if I want more porn in HD! But seriously, I've got an HD-DVD player and was able to view a few discs in that format before it went defunct. There is a noticeable difference in quality, but more flaws on the body and face jump out at you. I'm not too sure how much difference there is in HD-DVD and Blu Ray (since they're both 1080p format) but based on the HD-DVD versions I saw, standard quality is good enough for me right now.
At first I was not all that enthusiastic about high definition in porn. I enjoy watching sports in HD because of the depth perception and thought how good can that be for porn? Well, we just finished our very first Blu Ray disc and it is wonderfully clear and adds some very nice depth and clarity. I think when people say you can see more blemishes and the like on girls, that might be true but if it is lighted well, that will rarely be a factor at least from what I am witnessing these past few weeks. Porn is enjoyable in both formats and I think we are heading into upgrading our entire entertainment viewing experience so get ready for Blu Ray to be one of the great options in your future. FYI: the entire DVD is rebuilt for Blu Ray from the menus to the extras it is a totally different build plus Blu Ray lets you roam around the menus a little bit better than Standard Def. Well how a Blu-ray differs from DVD in Image Quality, depends on how the original material was shot. Not only that but it also depends on how the company chooses to encode the video. On some movies, the picture quality is substantially better than the DVD, but some only look a little better than their DVD counterpart. I have had a Blu-Ray player for over a year and I can say that I am very happy watching my porn in Hi-Def. Even though the price for a Blu-Ray is disc is most of the time double the price of the DVD, I think it is worth the premium price. As time goes by, Blu-Ray disc will become cheaper and the companies will be shooting with better equipment and creating some amazing content on Blu-ray. But I would start out with some Digital Playground Blu-Ray to really see how good a porn in Blu-Ray can look. EMS providers for ALT Porn!!!!

It's true that the source material is the crucial factor but when done right, porn in HD is awesome! I have a hard time watching all my old favorite DVDs now that all these wonderful hardcore blu-rays are coming out. Jenna Haze Darkside was awesome! You felt like you were there. A2M 12 was great as well. Anal Hell on blu-ray was really good to. Some scenes did look much better than others and the lighting was better in some scenes than others as well. To me, porn in HD is the future. I can't imagine anyone complaining about "Flaws." I wonder if any people complaining about "Flaws" ever banged a Flawless girl. I think not. Flaws are part of the beauty of the pornstar in my opinion.
I'm guessing I'm one of the people that Darth is referring to concerning my "flaws" complaint. Nope, never banged a flawless girl, but when it comes to porn I want an escape from reality and not having to re-visual my own sex life without Jenna Haze or Melissa Milano! If the production values are done well, then that certainly minimizes some of the visual flaws on HD pornogrophy (blemishes, poor skin, an especially active section of red splotches.. uggh) but more often than not, it calls more attention to these things. Call me a porn purist. I'll watch my HD copy of "Bullitt" all day and oogle the vibrant colors from this late 60's masterpiece. But when it comes to porn, sometimes better is not better.
Agree 100% For a woman to look great in HD, she would have to have FLAWLESS skin. Absolutely Flawless. Not a lot of women can pass that test, and probably NO guys could. I'll take plain old DVD. thanks.
I love it. I have yet to see flaws that wouldn't have ruined it for me regardless of bluray of dvd.

If you are watching it on your 19 inch computer screen it does nothing really if you are watching it on a 52 inch LCD TV and its mastered and shot properly its fucking stunning. If you have an XBox360 or a PS3 you have the ability to play H.264 HD video from a CD, DVD, or memory card. Im offering all new updates on southernbukkake and stripperfacials in that format and the guys who have fast connections and have tried it LOVE it.
I've never understood the "Porn shouldn't look too good" argument againt HD porn. By that logic, wouldn't you be arguing that VHS porn is the best way to go? It's the poorly-mastered HD porn that pisses me off.
Figured I'd post this here instead of starting a new thread... Can anyone recommend any good sites to get Blu-Ray porn from? I've looked at AdultDvdMarketplace and Adult Dvd Empire. Are there any other better ones? Which ones do you use? Thanks.
I tend to search every reliable site I know of to find the best price myself. Try the sites w/coupons here, or the search movies box to the upper-left.
