I have never seen so many drop-dead gorgeous girls doing porn in my life! Honestly, so many of our girls are as pretty, or prettier, than any super-model, actress, performer or what have you. And, we're seeing them naked, without the benefit of clothes to accent and/or hide flaws, unlike mainstream hotties. Unfortunately, the ink and piercings -- as taken to excess by so many performers -- knocks some of our girls off the very top rungs of "beauty queens," yet many of our tattooed girls are still pretty attractive (if tattoos turn you on and/or you are able to tune them out). The canvas underneath is often still pretty spectacular. And, then, we now have girls like Skin Diamond. She's a new breed, if you will. Although she has a lot of ink, it is not distracting. You seem to see as much or as little of it as you want. I suppose the quality of the work, and her tastefulness, has a lot to do with it. I guess it's like boob-jobs: quality work is worth every penny, and more; bad work ruins the goods.
Well let me explain to you then. Tori has a perfectly symetrical face and jawline with a beautiful square chin, with full lips and gorgeous eyes with perfect eyebows that compliment them, not to mention dimples when she smiles. She even looks great without make-up on. I can assure you that all the praise she got for her looks were completely justified, and for someone to claim Bobbi Starr has a better looking face I can't help but laugh at that. And as for bodies, Tori has much nicer tits and legs/feet. "Blows her away figure-wise"? Yeah, no.

^Although he did exaggerate his statement a little. I think he was trying to say that that there aren't more attractive performers today then there was 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years ago. I've never found that porn lacked for beautiful women. Now it's possible that the number may fluctuate from time to time but it's usually on a short period. What has changed in the last 5 or so years is that more performers tend to leave porn rather quickly so that they barely make a blip on the porn radar. Although I believe there have been plenty of amazing looking women over the years. If I had to pick a 10 year period in which to pick the performers who I've found most attractive then it would be 75 to 85. Of course the first porn I saw was made in those years and that's why the women who starred in those movies will always be the ones I most care about.
You're naming a select few that all worked for a studio that at a time when that company's main selling point was beauty and glamour. But if you go outside VIVID or WICKED's girls and actually looked at girls who didn't work for those companies/studios I think they don't stack up as well overall. Plus, back then porn's definition of beauty was different and very narrow. Back then the "Playboy" look/type was more popular (especially for the big studios). So if a person is into that type they'd tend to see that era as having better looking women. In the later 90s when porn became more open to different enthic women, different body types, and different looks and as contract/glamour girls started fading off and Gonzo became more popular that look/type became less popular. So in some cases it's not that the girls of today or different eras were less attractive as much as they weren't made up and promoted as such. There are girls from today who if they around in that era would've easily given some of the girls back then a run for their money. Plus with the definition of beauty being much wider these days it only makes sense that some people will be into certain types of beauty over another. So it will always come down to personal preference as to what's attractive.
My own idea of porn nirvana was along about 2006. I don't have an official top ten list, but, if I did, a good part of it would be taken up with several girls from that era. Having said that, 2012-13 almost equals that period, IMHO (too much ink today gives the earlier period a sight edge). The biggest difference is that, back then, I could latch on to Karina Kay or Sunny Lane or Jennifer Luv and continue to enjoy them for reasonably decent (porn-wise) careers. Nowadays, there are a lot of women who are or are nearly equal, but they blow through so quickly that I barely have time to learn their names, let alone develop and affinity for them, before they're gone. One other difference: Hi-def cameras allo us to see way too many imperfections compared to a few years ago. There's one starlet in particular that I'm thiking of who has a very lengthy thread on this board, who's an excellent performer and who, when she's made up, could be described as anything from really pretty to gorgeous. But I've tossed several of her scenes because the camera go too close, revealed to much, and spoiled the illusion. Maybe the girls of nine years ago were like that, too, and careless application of better technology is at fault.

If at 40 I've gotten less attractive on the outside to anyone who sits at their computer safe from the eyes of the world- that's fine by me ;)) I never claimed to be a beauty and don't rely on that in my scenes- I am just a voraciously horny and sexually liberated women that really enjoys having REAL orgasms on or off camera!!! The adult business have a good representation of what you will see in any typical city. For me is all about diversity, sometimes you feel like watching a gorgeous girl like Paige Turnah, but there's somedays where I feel like watching Kelly Divine or even going Asian and etc. You need to have them all and they don't have to be all perfect. I imagine that a girl these days has a lot to consider when going into porn. These days the guys damn near beat the girl down. They spit in her face. For me there are 3 main components when it come to evaluating attractivness in the world of porn. 1. Physical - Goes without saying what this component encompasses. This is different for most guys some like tall some like short. Some like the barely legal teen girl while others are into the fully mature woman. Some like blondes some like brunette. Some like natural some like artificial. Some like white, black, asian, latina. Some like no ink some like lots of ink. You get the point there is no consensus on what is universally attractive in a woman. That being said in the physical respect in my opinion I say that today porn actresses are at a high level of being attractive. Because there is literally something for everybody. You want to find a petite girl with jet black hair thats all natural and no tats I am sure there is a porn gal out there for you. By the same token you want a tall blond, with fake tits and some ink then she is out there. 2. Personality - We live in the information age and with facebook, twitter, instagram, vine, tumblr, personal blogs, interviews and conventions you can get a real insight to some of theses girls. You find out if they have giggly/bubbly personality or you might find a girl you follow on one of these sights or meet at a convention is a real bitch. You might find she is the quiet type of homebody away from the porn set or she is an out and out total party girl. You might find away from the set she has a boyfriend or husband and that can change things. In this respect you can say that because we are getting more information about these girls with them answer questions on these sights or doing signings you can say that in some respect porn actress are less attractive because they lose some of their mystery. 3. Performance - The most important component for me. Now this can be broken down into sub sections. The first is what acts does she perform. The second subsection is how she performs in the scene. For some guys if a girl does only girl he wont watch a scene with her while he might find her physically attractive he is not attracted enough to watch her scenes. For others who are not fans of certain acts like anal if a girl does mainly anal scenes no matter how you gauge her appearance if you see anal you are not watching the scene. But the same can be said if she does not do certain things some guys find that more attractive some people as evident from some of the posts about IR. If a porn actress just lays there and relies on her looks to carry a scene that is not something that will keep bring many back for more. But if a girl is really into a scene and makes a guy feel like she is really doing him while he is watching him, and she gives that performance in every scene. More times than not you will come back to her scenes over the girl who you might find more physically attractive. The performance category is where I would say that lots of porn actresses have lost in the area of attractivness. I say this because there are very few great performers. I would say there are very few girls that can exude that kind of performance that makes you forget she is on a screen. So many girls today are over the top in their moaning, groaning, over use of the word fuck. But thats just my opinion.
To me, it feels like back in the day, the high end porn stars seemed like they were mainstream models that decided to do porn. There wasn't necessarily a "porn vibe" about them. I just saw a scene with Ashlyn Gere and Selena Steele....wow, perfect 10s. Gere had a maturity about her and Steele had a killer smile, and with a body like hers if I said her smile was her best feature, you know it's a cut above. Nowadays it seems there are more and more porn girls that LOOK like porn stars. Kayden Kross has arguably as perfect a body as Steele and Gere, but she looks like a porn star and the other didn't. It's hard to put into words exactly, but I'm sure some of you get what I'm saying.

I get what you're saying but it's really more of a fashion and make-up thing. The "pornstar" look is the look they go for these days. Just like in the mainstream fashion and makeup and body types change over the years. In the 70s a more "earthy/natural" look was in. In the 80s a more refined "stylish" look was in. In the 90s porn big boobs and glamourous looks were the trend. In the 2000 era the "slutty" look and big butts are the thing.
It's not just the fashion or style or make-up, Draxxx, it's their bodies. A lot of the high end stars now are really....sculpted. Their bodies are almost too perfect. Pamela Anderson also had that look and Dr. Drew once said it best that she seemed to be a female "female impersonator". Looks great but there's an artifice to it that rubs some people the wrong way. Still I'd rather have that type of "clean" artifice vs the tatted up and pierced look which is it's own artifice.
Right now, the holy duo of mainstream porn in terms of pure physical onscreen beauty are Juelz Ventura and Gia Dimarco. They don't take a backseat to anyone in any other era or industry (including models and Hollywood). But if you were to ask who the hottest porn star of all time was/is, it's Julia Ann back when she first started porn.
I don't think is about pornstars getting less attractive as is more about having good taste. Personally i think the girls of today are fine. For then all i can say is "STAY AWAY FROM THE FUCKING INK!" I say it before and i will say it again, pornstars with too much ink equals damage goods.

Body wise...I'd still say it's "style" thing. I think different body types have been more popular during different eras. There are girls who are big pornstars now that would've never been as successful or even in porn at all if they or someone with their body type had tried to get into porn during certain eras. A girl with the body type of someone like Alexis Texas or Kelly Divine wouldn't have had the type of success they have now if they got into porn during the 80/90s "glamour era" of the contract girl. The big boob 90s era was a time when the bigger was better and there was pressure for all girls in porn to get big boobjobs. In the 2000s porn saw more sculpted women because exercise and fitness were abigger deal and the top actresses in Hollywood had that look. There was a big boob backlash for awhile and the "barely legal" look became popular. In the later 2000s the curvier look became popular and big bubble butts were the thing in porn and Hollywood. In porn today there's a bigger variety of body types than ever. You have a segment that are succesful with the "high end" sculpted body, the big boob crowd, the bubble butt women, and everything in between. The women with the more sculpted bodies can take things to a further degree with surgery and more intense exercise and diet. When I look at some pornstars twitter pics I see lots of them are hitting the gym and eating very healthy. I also see lots of incision marks on lower hips and thighs indicating surgery to help give them those results. I have to imagine 10 years from now a different look and body type will be the newest hot look because it's an ever changing thing.

Not a chance in HELL that you've gotten less attractive. If anything, I'd say hotter. I guess it depends what one considers "curvy". When I say "curvy" I'm talking about performers like Alexis Texas, Lisa Ann, Bree Olsen, Sophie Dee, Jenna Pressley, Amy Reid, etc...When I think of thin girls I think of Tori Black, Jenna Haze, etc...

Yeah, that's who I was alluding to. Undoubtedly, stunningly gorgeous features, but it's the case, that she'd have that even without the excess of ink on her. Like Christy Mack, she seems to be getting a large amount of attention beyond the obvious niche (I would think due the fact that they are so naturally, unbelievably good looking), but for some I'd say without doubt, that excessive tattoos are off-putting. I mean, spiderwebs on tits... Your mileage may (and I would think certainly does) vary.
As porn business becomes less profitable, less money to spend on talent. You'd expect it becoming increasingly more difficult to attract beautiful women.
But as the porn business becomes less profitable, so does the general economy; There are fewer alternative ways to make money for everybody if you've got no skills other than being photogenic and fuckable.

Absolutely, excessive tattoos are off-putting. One of the things that makes new girls like Avril Hall so attractive, to me, is the absence of ink, and just drinking-in all that beautiful clean skin
You guys have to be kidding. You mean you can't see which one Buck is talking about.
