Further, porn stars are not employees -- they are essentially freelancers if you know anything about the porn business." Well if YOU knew anything about the porn business then you would know that the companies in the porn industry ARE businesses. They legally register their logos, have tax id numbers, and maintain USC 2257 records. They are legitimate businesses (they reap the rewards of being legitimate such as being able to sue because of piracy) and as legitimate businesses that partake in the benefits of the system should be made to play by the rules and follow US non-discrimination laws. You may consider pornstars "freelancers" but they are probably considered "independent contractors" and should adhere to the guidelines set forth by the company using their services. Inturn the company should adhere to US guidelines and not hire independent contractors who do discriminate: http://www.businessbrief.com/warning-court-rules-ics-can-get-you-sued-for-discrimination/ Pornstars who do escort services and offer 'other' services on the side is a different situation. In that situation she could discriminate all she wants. Because what she is doing is under the table and those 'other' services are probably illegal in most jurisdictions and classified as prostitution. And the government does not play referee in illegal activities. Edited by - rwmoose on Jan 14 2010 [Link] |

Of course its their body they can do what they want with it. But if you do not want to have contact with blacks then do not work in that line of work. If someone works at McDonald's the employee is agreeing to use their hand (one of their body parts) and pick up hamburgers. It comes with job and it is known before they even take the job. If for some reason a person has a bias against touching beef then simply seek employment elsewhere. The whole industry should blacklist racist performers. By them not blacklisting them, they are being complicit with the racism by allowing and by making special arrangements to cater to the racist pornstars. And as I mentioned in a previous post, they may not be KKK racist they are racist none the less. There are different degrees to racism. Edited by - rwmoose on 1/14/2010 5:25:58 PM |

| rwmoose Deactivated User 77 Posts 2/09 | Before yesterday I was aware of the fact that certain girls did not IR. But I simply did not care because IR is not one of my fetishes and it does not matter to me one way or the other either person's skin color, but then it dawned on me that it is wrong and it is a disgusting. But more importantly that it is accepted and supported by an entire industry. There have been countless discussion across the net about this. But thats all they were - discussions. No more! I am sure there is plenty of information that can be found on the net stating that heads of porn companies were fully aware that they were hiring someone that discriminated. I am going for their heads. Edited by - rwmoose on 1/14/2010 6:42:44 PM |
