Some stars like to keep that private and not to be flooded with a bunch of add requests from complete strangers, slavering fanboys or potential stalkers/serial killers/date rapists. 2. This thread scares me. I think Skronker's "stamp collecting" comment hit the nail on the head and that's not what MySpace is for. [Link]

If they are not listed by their stage name (or variant like Avy Lee changes hers from time to time) i won't list them. Or Katrina Kraven, who although is listed by a screenname still is in full Kat mode. a couple of girls i know, have two profiles. a personal one and one with their stage name. i think that's a good idea, if one wants to use it to keep incontact with a smaller, personal circle of friends. Kinda dilutes the coolness of finding friends on your own...through other friends, friends' friends, or groups. I'll post my Myspace, and you can check my friends...but I don't feel right outing someone else's, they'll post it themselves if they want to. She told me last week that she stopped logging on...I think the last time she logged on was last October..she said she was tired of Myspace because she had so many fakers on there. If you notice there is already an age limit of 16 to create a profile, why not make it 18 so there is no problem, and as for kids hacking in after that or lying about their age that happens on every adult site. It is a place to network and meet people, so I do not really see what a 16 year has to network not to mention why would they need to meet their someone at that age. so instead of petitioning to have my space shut down , why don't we petition for it to be a place for ages 18 and up.:) [Link]
