There is another thread on this forum where we talking about the death of the sensual blowjob in porn with a poster asking what will porn be like in 10 years time (someone joked blowholejobs). With the innovations and developments in porn since 2000, what do people think will be the 'standard' or the trends in porn over the next decade, and what will porn be like in 10 years time? Over the past decade we've seen face-fucking become pretty standard, the popularisation of bukkake, bondage creedping into mainstream porn, more humiliation, slapping and choking, less plots and harder sex... where now?
My guess is there will be some sort of a split in the audience. I don't know where hardcore will go regarding the next extreme thing to do, but I suppose stuff like Sweet Sinner is shooting will gain popularity. Yeah, I think you're right about the authenticity thing. I recently discovered a site called fetishkitsch, they are a genuine couple, they have a laugh and chat to each other during the scenes and are really into each other. Personally, I think there needs to be a swing back toward erotica and sensuality rather than pushing things harder.

I'm hoping to see more uncircumcised guys in porn. The 2000s have certainly showed more uncut guys compared to the 70s/80s/90s which is why I think the fucking action has been better more recently. ^ I have no trouble believing that. An uncircumcised penis can look very strange and scary to some girls. In my case, my foreskin fully retracts when I'm hard so my penis doesn't look too different from a circumcised penis. There's also a common belief that an uncut penis will smell like shit and have a very sour taste (although some girls like the sour taste). One never NEEDS to be mutilated for religious purposes... Any religion that says you HAVE to be mutilated is wrong, plain and simple. There are some very few medical reasons why some men NEED to be circumcised, but they're the only ones who ever NEED it...
I was hoping it wouldn't deteriorate the way it did. I'm just asking, from a scientific viewpoint, how would researchers perform such a study. When you use the word "proven" it sounds serious, like maybe they set up a lab and recruited volunteers, and filmed people fucking and had sensors attached to the women, defined all sorts of parameters on the men, and did statistical analysis, etc. How can I get into one of those studies? How much does it pay? Is the DVD for sale?
Which almost certainly outs you as being either American or Muslim.... since the vast majority of the world's men aren't circumcised outside of those two areas.

I would like tht too. It depends upon what you mean by risks though. I'm really afraid that the recent prosecutions for obscenity will have a chilling effect on porn producers if things continue as they are.

Due to illegal fire sharing and legitimiate downloads of porn (esp. to mobile devices), brick and mortar porn outlets will drop preicipitously in number similar to music stores
I believe many of the larger studios will stop producing porn titles and the power in the industry will go to the performers. Many more will produce scenes and films on their own. Porn will become more mainstream. You will see more crossover stars into Hollywood films and pop music. IR will become more popular and those who refuse will lose a huge fan base. Some porn will become more clownish with pointless gangbangs, ass licking gangbangs, triple penetration, 200 man cumshots and other types of nonsense. Videobox will dominate the internet porn market, to a such a degree, that it will drive their competitors out of business. in fact, many production companies will release their content soley through videobox.
More small studios and self-made porn aimed at quality, originality, improved fan experience and better fan loyalty. You're less likely to want to steal from a producer who replies to your emails and considers your suggestions for scene ideas and cares about making a good product. Decline of generic-looking factory porn with that "Hurry up and throw something together" vibe about it.

Hummm. Bit hard to tell for me what's g/g for pay and whats genuine lesbian. I can tell the majority of their sex scenes look more authentic than the stuff I've seen from some of the pay sites out there. As for features, the Unfaithful series was great in my opinion up to the 3rd part. That's probably because the two main roles Lisa (aka Cameron Cruz) and Nella have a fantastic chemistry together and at least Lisa is said to be actually bi. They've got a couple nice random frames in most scenes that do nothing but setting the atmosphere, something I miss a lot today. The music in their feature scenes works very well, too. As the title of the series suggests, the mood is often sad one. I think both Lisa and Nella do a good job in the feature scenes displaying uncertainty and the overall mix of emotions people experience when they know their significant other is cheating on them. This carries on throughout the sex scenes, like you see Nella rolling over to turn her back on her girlfriend after the sex and such. Some of the scenes are in some Eastern European language with English subtitles, but most are in English (with a noticeable Eastern European accent). Don't know if that's a biggie for you. Pink Velvet is a pretty popular series, too. The plot however is very contrived even by male standards.

Won't happen. We've been there and didn't really want it. a decade hence, porn will be pretty much what it is now, I think. What's likely to change will be what has always driven change in this industry -- technology. In that regard, I see something in the nature of a more sophisticated Wii gaming device being adapted to emulate the physical sensations of the people on screen for the viewer. In other words, 'virtual sex'. I believe the technology exists already. It probably needs only to be engineerd to emulate sex and for someone to see the market for it. Considering that such a technology could be made much less suceptible to piracy, and that it could be adapted to the existing library of porn, it could make the porn industry bigger than ever.

DJboutit2, sounds like wishful thinking. The things you mentioned would make porn less accessible. Aside from being more costly for the producer, it also requires the consumer to buy new hardware (disc players and video screens and audio equipments). I think the popularity of small screens such as smart-phones and netbook-computers will lower people's expections regarding video quality, and high-quality HD big-screen video will be a harder sell, unless the manufactures can make it very inexpensive and the consumers have "money to burn" again.
