"Less is more" sums up my thoughts perfectly. I don't mind a little, but women (as do Men) over do it alot.
I remember when I first really started to hook up with girls in high school, the big thing at the time (and still kind of is) is the Victoria Secrets body lotion. It used to drive me nuts that every girl I was with either smelled like peach, vanilla, pear or apple.
My preference in men is for clean skin. Not out-of-the-shower clean (that's a wee bit too sterile), which is second best. Clean, like showered a couple of hours ago, has a bit of nice natural scent.
There was a guy many moons ago who used English Leather as a stick deodorant, and it suited him well.
I also occassionally like a guy with a hint of beer breath, which brings back that back-seat-of-the-car feel for me.
I can't stand perfumes!!! These gals who use the body sprays, holy cow! I wish I was dead. You can't take a breath within 50 feet of them. Hair spray is almost as bad!
I only ever wear a drop or two (literally, a DROP or two) of scented oils, and always natural scents - not chemical concoctions. I place them strategically, so that you might get a hint of a scent if you're up close and personal.
Me too -- it's the alcohol and chemicals that seem toxic to me. A mild essential oil of jasmine or vanilla is something I might occassionally wear. I mixed some stuff once from a recipe with essential oil of gardenia and melted beeswax and some kind of nut oil.
